St. Mary’s County Sheriff Tim Cameron reports that on April 25, 2016, at 1:54 A.M. patrol units responded to the reported motor vehicle accident involving a Sheriff’s Deputy on Chancellor’s Run Rd. at Pegg Rd. Great Mills, Md. </span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Sheriff Cameron reported that Sgt. Harold Young was travelling northbound on Chancellors Run Rd. operating a marked police vehicle, in a non-emergency status, approaching Pegg Road. A 2013 Ford Focus, operated by Jarrett L. Davis, 28, of 21618 Liberty Street, Lexington Park, Md., was traveling southbound on Chancellors Run Road and was attempting to turn left onto Pegg Road failing to yield the right of way.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Both vehicle operators were transported to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Deputies on the scene determined Davis had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his person and appeared to be intoxicated. A blood test for alcohol was administered on Davis at the hospital. Sgt. Young and Davis were treated and have been released from the hospital. Charges are pending against Davis upon results of the blood test being received. Sgt. Sarah Russell investigated the crash.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Davis was arrested in Calvert County by Sheriff’s Deputy C. Childress on Jan. 22, 2011 for DUI. In a plea deal with the Calvert County States Attorney, Davis entered a guilty plea on March 18, 2011, and was given a fine of $235.00 and a sixty-day suspended sentence with Probation Before Judgement. Representing Davis, in that case</span>,<span style="font-size: 12pt;"> was Prince Frederick attorney Theodore P. LeBlanc.</span></p>
