DUELING THUGS = WIN-WIN for PUBLIC as one is dead and the other on path to prison
Javonte Hall of Northeast D.C. was arrested Monday night after surveillance footage circulated showing the suspect inside the Metro station.
FROM WJLA: The incident happened midday inside the Deanwood station near the entrance. Sources told ABC7’s Jennifer Donelan a teen asked his brother to record with his cell phone camera as he punched another young man. But the other man struck back, slashing the first teen’s throat and killing him.
Police said in a press conference Tuesday they believe the victim and the suspect knew each other and had an “ongoing dispute.”
The level of stupidity of District politicians continues to be paraded on TV as they love the cameras.
D.C. City Councilwoman Yvette Alexander asked why the teens were at the Metro in the first place.
“That really bothers me. For one, I don’t understand during this time of day why teenagers are even out of school,” Alexander said.
This District Council member must be oblivious to the crime committed by teens not in school in the District and the voters of the District of Columbia certainly deserve her.
H. L. Mencken said one hundred years ago: “The common man knows what he wants and he deserves to get it, good and hard.”
Murder USA 2nd murder in a month on Metro; cops arrest thug in stabbing
Murder victim was a criminal teen returning to DC for a court appearance after his mother moved him to Richmond to get away from District thugs
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Police made an arrest late Monday night in the stabbing death of a 15-year-old boy inside the Deanwood Metro station, according to News4’s Shomari Stone.
The suspect’s name has not been released. D.C. Police report that the victim has been identified as 15-year-old John Rufus Evans III, of Northeast, DC.
News 4 reported that 15-year-old victim, John Rufus Evans III, returned to Washington, D.C., from his home in Richmond, Virginia, for a court appearance after which he was stabbed after he passed through the fare gate and headed toward an escalator. He was rushed to a hospital, where he died, D.C. police said.
Evans’ death comes less than three weeks after another boy was fatally shot on the station’s platform, police said.
The most recent Metro Murder took place two weeks ago when Davonte Washington was shot dead by a thug who accused Washington of “looking at him”, according to statements to police by witnesses. Washington had been on his way to get a haircut for Easter.
What was the reaction from the Banana Republic of the District of Columbia politicians to the second murder of a teen by another teen in the DC Metro in one month?
District Council member Yvette Alexander announced that the D.C. Police need to maintain a larger presence in the Metro System.
Maybe there should be one cop accompanying each D. C. teen on each train to keep the thugs under control.
The District Police released a photo of a “person of interest” in the stabbing of a teen just hours before making the arrest.
The Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch reported the fatal stabbing occurred at Deanwood Metro, located in the 4700 block of Minnesota Avenue, Northeast, on Monday, April 11, 2016, at approximately 10:57 am.
The person of interest was described as a 14 to 20-year-old black male, medium complexion, medium build, with dreadlocks and braces. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a black jacket.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the police at (202) 727-9099. Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to the department’s TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411.
Politicians often scream for more money to be spent on education as a solution to crime when it appears that more mass incarceration with longer jail sentences is the solution that many believe is the proper antidote.
According to the Census Bureau, the District of Columbia had a per-pupil expenditure in 2013 of $17,953, one of the top five highest in the nation. Other big spending jurisdictions were the following states: New York ($19,818), Alaska ($18,175), New Jersey ($17,572) and Connecticut ($16,631).
The media frenzy after the Michael Brown shooting in Ferguson, Missouri, with a false narrative of the unjustified shooting, along with the Freddie Gray death in Baltimore, has propelled an onslaught of murder in American cities including a 54 percent increase in 2015 in Washington, D.C.
The politically correct attitude of DC Police blames the murder rate explosion of 119 homicides in DC during 2015 on guns rather than on the criminals who use guns to kill. Assistant Police Chief Peter Newsham, who was quoted recently in the Washington Times as faulting guns for the soaring rate of homicides in DC, might have to adjust his talking points to fit this latest subway murder which was accomplished with a knife or other blade.
Perhaps Metro could only allow two teens at a time on the subway system or require that they are accompanied by an adult — such as a father.
