Black Bandit Sticks Up 7-Eleven in Middle of Dover
DOVER, DEL. — Recently a black advocacy group questioned the need for Dover Police to concentrate their patrolling in the center of Dover. The Dover Police responded by pointing out the level of serious crime in the city was the reason for focusing their enforcement efforts in that area. The robbery of the 7-Eleven on DuPont Highway on Dec. 27, 2015 is the most recent armed robbery committed by a black male suspect. There have not been public comments made by black advocacy groups protesting against black criminals.
According to Cpl. Mark Hoffman, the Dover Police Department is investigating an armed robbery at a 7-eleven convenience store on Sunday night, Dec. 27th. The robbery occurred at approximately 10:17 PM when a suspect entered the business and pointed a silver and black handgun at the clerk, demanding money. The clerk complied and emptied the register into a white pillow case the suspect was holding. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash in an southwest direction from the business. The suspect was described as a black male, 5’8″-5’10”, slim build, with gray sweatpants and a gray hooded sweatshirt, and a bandana covering his face.
