Crime never takes a holiday; gunmen shoot at Credit Union customer using ATM
CHARLOTTE HALL, MD. — When two gunmen found that a bank in Charlotte closed for Veteran’s Day, they apparently decided to bushwhack a bank customer using the ATM at the Cedar Point Federal Credit Union on Rt. 5.
St. Mary’s Sheriff Tim Cameron reports that detectives are looking for two black bandits who shot at their victim as they fled. The fleet-footed armed cowards took off however police didn’t give a clue about whether they were on foot or had a getaway vehicle.
Sheriff Cameron also has not yet provided any photos that the Credit Union might have from surveillance cameras around the building.
Who would use a bank ATM at night when the bank is closed, and no one else is around?
Police report that on November 11, 2015, at 9:15 p.m., St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s deputies and Charles patrol deputies responded to the Cedar Point Federal Credit Union, located on Rt. 5 in Charlotte Hall, for the report of an armed robbery.
According to police the robbery victim, while using the ATM, observed two black males approaching. Police say the two men robbed the victim of personal property and then fired shots at the victim.
