Thugs attempting carjacking wound teen who decided to flee rather than cough up the key
WOODLAWN, MD. —Thugs out to carjack a woman shot at her when she decided she was going to make a break for it and slammed her car into reverse rather than submit her vehicle to them. In the process the armed thugs began shooting at her and one round found its mark.
Baltimore County Police are investigating a shooting in Woodlawn late on Aug. 5, 2015 that left a woman injured.
At 11:33 p.m. police responded to a parking lot in the 6000 block of Townbrook Drive, for a report of a shooting. The victim told police that she was in her parked vehicle on the lot of her apartment complex when she was approached by multiple unknown suspects who shot at her when she attempted to flee.
The victim, an 18-year-old woman, had just ended a phone call when she saw the suspects approaching her. They told her to turn off her car and give them the keys.
