Wilson was indicted on June 19, 2015 and finally located and arrested on July 15, 2015. At that time the secret indictment was unsealed and the announcement of his arrest was made by Charles County Sheriff Troy Berry at a press conference in La Plata.

Wilson is a resident of 3700 Neighbors Place in Nanjemoy and is set to be tried for murder on Dec. 14, 2015. Court documents state that the murder took place on July 26, 2015.

While Wilson was evading accountability for his alleged role in the murder of Anderson he kept himself busy with a hobby of using drugs. On Oct. 15, 2014, Wilson entered a guilty plea to a charge of drug possession in Charles County District Court and in a plea deal with Charles County States Attorney Tony Covington, he was sentenced to 4 years in prison with 3 years, 11 months and 21 days suspended leaving him serving 9 days in jail which certainly should have taught him not to pursue a life of crime.

Indicted in 2012 in Charles County for dealing drugs, Covington dropped all the charges on Oct. 15, 2014, perhaps merging the case with the one that netted Wilson those nine long days in the local hoosegow.

The public better hope that States Attorney Covington improves his record when dealing with Wilson as the alleged killer had about a half dozen different traffic charges dumped by Covington in the past four years including one for DUI by alcohol and or drugs.  On Nov. 17, 2011, just a few months after he allegedly killed Anderson, the Charles County States Attorney dropped the charge.  Wilson had been arrested by Maryland State Trooper S. Murphy on Rt. 224 north of Butterfly Place.

Murder USA Second man charged in 2011 murder of Crystal Anderson

From WJLA

LA PLATA, Md. (WJLA) March 29, 2015 – A man in prison for an unrelated crime has been indicted in the 2011 death of a Landover woman whose remains were found months after her mother reported her missing.

The anguish of a grieving mother could be felt everywhere inside a briefing room at the Charles County Sheriff’s Office.

“There’s a hole that’s left in my heart,” Angela Anderson said, crying softly.

Trying to maintain her composure, Anderson spoke to reporters about her daughter Crystal, missing and then found murdered.

“For months, I’ve searched for my child, and I couldn’t find her,” Anderson says. “I looked out the door and said the world is too big. Where could she be?”

Charles County Sheriff Troy D. Berry said at a news conference Thursday that 22-year-old Raymond Daniel Posey III of Nanjemoy was indicted last month on a first-degree murder charge in the death of 29-year-old Crystal Keyona Anderson of Landover.

It began as a missing person case.

Family members thought Anderson, 29, was dropped off at a Forestville gas station in July 2011.

But detectives much later, would find witnesses who had seen her at a party in Charles County in early August with the 22 year-old Posey.

“We were last able to determine they were at a party… and last seen leaving the party together,” Charles County Sheriff’s Detective John Elliott explains.

Until January 2012, there was no trace of Anderson, until a hiker at State Park, outside La Plata, found skeletal remains. Tests would later prove they were the young woman’s.

“I realize this moment is very bittersweet,” Sheriff Troy Berry said. “You have our heartfelt condolences and we are praying for you.”

Police say a three year investigation that included neighborhood canvasses, new witness information, and the recovery of Anderson’s property, led them to Posey.

An 11-count Grand Jury indictment says a handgun was the murder weapon.

The documents allege that on July 26th, 2011, Posey assaulted Anderson, then robbed her of cash and drugs, before killing her.

Posey is now in a state correctional facility, convicted of an unrelated armed robbery charge. He faces a court appearance in early April.

One law enforcement officer called Thursday’s developments “bittersweet.”

Angela Anderson, asked what she would say to Posey, spoke of what might have been.

“He’s robbed me of ten, twenty, thirty, and forty years of being with my daughter,” Anderson says. “To have her come home in bits and pieces, yes he robbed me too.”

NBC 4 NEWS Reported:

(Feb. 2, 2012) Remains found in a Maryland state park are confirmed to be those of 29-year-old Crystal Keyona Anderson, a Prince George’s County woman who had been missing since the summer.

Anderson was last seen the night of July 26, 2011, before someone dropped her off at a BP gas station in Forestville, according to family members.

Some family members tearfully handed out flyers in hopes of finding Anderson in September. They described Anderson as an outgoing, friendly person, who was unlikely to leave without telling anybody.

At the time, Anderson’s mother told News4 that just before the disappearance, her daughter spoke of some good news she had to share. But the good news never came.

In January, a hiker reported finding partial human remains at the Purse State Park in Charles County. On Tuesday, the medical examiner identified the remains as belonging to Anderson.
