<p>LEXINGTON PARK, MD. – St. Mary’s Sheriff Tim Cameron reports on yet another counterfeiter from Hollywood attempting to pass bogus bills. On June 29, 2015 Corporal Moritz responded to the McDonalds restaurant located on Great Mills Road, for the report of a suspect attempting to pass a counterfeit bill. An employee showed Corporal Moritz the $50 bill, which was obviously counterfeit, and provided a description of the suspect and the vehicle he was operating. Based on the description of the suspect and his vehicle, Corporal Moritz believed the suspect to be ;<strong>Alexander Yates Mills, 25, of Hollywood.</strong> ;Corporal Moritz located Mills and placed him under arrest on outstanding warrants for theft and failure to appear in court. Additional evidence was gathered supporting Mills attempted to pass counterfeit currency not only at the McDonalds, but at the Donut Connection located in Millison Plaza. Mills was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and charged with Possession of Counterfeit Currency. The outstanding warrants were also served.</p>

<p>CALLAWAY, MD. – According to the St. Mary’s Sheriff’s Department, on July 1, 2015, Deputy Lawrence responded to a residence on Brown Road in Leonardtown, for a reported theft. The investigation revealed suspect <strong>Corey Robert Woodburn, 20, of Callaway,</strong> ;made numerous ATM transactions using the victim’s debit card without the victim’s knowledge or permission. The total amount of money stolen from the victim’s bank account was over $11,700.00. Woodburn was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with Theft $10,000 to $100,00 and Theft – Scheme $10,000 to $100.00.</p>

<p>LEXINGTON PARK, MD. – St. Mary’s Sheriff Tim Cameron reports that a deputy filled out a citation and released a woman who had been arrested for shoplifting back to the streets without a visit to the hoosegow. Police say that on July 2, 2015, Deputy Cole responded to the Family Dollar store located on Great Mills Road for the report of a shoplifter. Employees identified the suspect and alleged she had placed several items of merchandise in her handbag. Corporal Snyder contacted the suspect, identified as ;<strong>Leeche Monia Gross, 18, of Great Mills</strong>, and found several items of merchandise in her handbag that she had not paid for. Gross was charged with Theft Under $100 by criminal citation.</p>

<p>MECHANICSVILLE, MD. – The wild and the wooly get tough when the holiday weekend gets underway. St. Mary’s Sheriff Tim Cameron reports that on July 3, 2015, Deputy Bare responded to a residence in the 27000 block of Mechanicsville Road, for a fight in progress.</p>



<p>Police say that their investigation revealed <strong>Samantha Joell Faucette, 24, of Mechanicsville,</strong> ;attempted to run the victim’s vehicle off of the road. There were 4 occupants inside the victim’s vehicle at the time of the incident. When the victim stopped to confront Faucette, she struck the victim in the face with her fist. Faucette was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. She was charged with 2<sup>nd</sup> ;Degree Assault, and 4 COUNTS of Reckless Endangerment.</p>

<p>SANDY BOTTOM, MD. – Police say that another undocumented shopper was busy gathering cheer for the nation’s birthday celebration on July 4, 2015. Deputy Siciliano responded to the Early Bird store located on Mervell Dean Road in Hollywood, for a reported theft. Glenn Scott Greenwell, 43, of Hollywood, ;placed a bottle of scotch in the front of his pants and attempted to leave without paying. Greenwell was charged with Theft Under $100 by criminal citation; which means he was immediately released to continue his shopping at a store at which he might be better received.</p>

<p>LEXINGTON PARK, MD. – A deputy who was shoved by a suspect’s momma took her rioting son to jail but left her loose on the streets. ; Police say that on July 4, 2015, Corporal Raddatz responded to a large disturbance on Valley Drive in Lexington Park. On arrival, several subject, mostly juveniles, ran behind the Home 2 Hotel owned by Cherry Cove Development. Corporal Raddatz ordered the subjects off of the property and they left. A short time later, 2 cars returned with several of the same subjects. They were all ordered again to leave by Corporal Raddatz. Police say that ;<strong>Curtis Andre Brown JR., 25, of California,</strong> ;exited one of the vehicles and was told to leave. Brown refused to leave and was advised he was under arrest. Brown pulled away from Corporal Raddatz and attempted to flee. Brown’s mother pushed Corporal Raddatz in an effort to prevent him from arresting Brown. Brown was subsequently taken into custody and arrested. He was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and charged with Trespassing and Resisting Arrest.</p>

<p>LEONARDTOWN, MD. – Some courtrooms and churches have signs that ban spitting, cussing, eating, smoking or drinking in courts and churches. ; Apparently the District Court in St. Mary’s County needs one that says not to threaten the witness. Police say that on July 7, 2015, Deputy Schultz was present in District Court in Leonardtown, when he observed a male subject, later identified as ;<strong>Michael Aguedo Torres, 39, of Abell,</strong> ;acting in a strange manner. Torres changed seats several times and appeared to be trying to whisper something to the victim who was seated in the courtroom. </p>



<p>The victim looked over at Deputy Schultz with concern. At that time, Deputy Schultz contacted Torres and conducted an investigation, which revealed Torres spoke to the victim in an attempt to get the victim to drop the charges against him. There was an active protective order against Torres prohibiting him from having contact with the victim. Torres was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with Violation of Protective Order.</p>

<p>LEXINGTON PARK, MD. &#8212; It was a furniture fight in Patuxent Park, say police. According to the cops, on July 7, 2015, Deputy Tirpak responded to Essex Drive in Lexington Park, for a reported disturbance. The victim alleged that <strong>James Patrick Cusick JR., 38, of Lexington Park</strong>, struck the victim in the head with a star shaped lamp. One of the points of the star punctured the victim’s head causing a substantial injury. When a female neighbor intervened, Cusick threw a metal chair, striking the neighbor in the leg. Cusick was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with 1<sup>st</sup> ;Degree Assault and 2 COUNTS of 2<sup>nd</sup> ;Degree Assault.</p>

<p>HOLLYWOOD, MD. – According to St. Mary’s Sheriff Tim Cameron on July 7, 2015, Deputy Wilson responded to a residence on Coles Drive in Hollywood, for a disturbance.</p>



<p>Deputies were already on the scene conducting a missing person investigation. Police say that Sharon Elizabeth Moore, 52, of Hollywood, began to yell profanity at deputies looking for the missing juvenile. Moore was advised to stop using profane language and to leave the property.</p>



<p>She began to leave only to stop, turn around and yell at civilians and officers on the scene. Moore continued to refuse all orders to leave and was advised she was under arrest. Moore was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and charged with Trespassing, Disorderly Conduct, and Failure to Obey a Lawful Order.</p>
