Southern Md. Police Beat: funny money; debit card bingo; undocumented shoppers; Curtis Brown’s big mouth momma and more!

LEONARDTOWN, MD. – Some courtrooms and churches have signs that ban spitting, cussing, eating, smoking or drinking in courts and churches. Apparently the District Court in St. Mary’s County needs one that says not to threaten the witness. Police say that on July 7, 2015, Deputy Schultz was present in District Court in Leonardtown, when he observed a male subject, later identified as Michael Aguedo Torres, 39, of Abell, acting in a strange manner.

Black Bandit Strikes Three Times in Lexington Park

Fun times in Sin City continued this past week with an armed robber running wild and St. Mary’s Sheriff Tim Cameron focusing more of his attention on his deputies who shot at occupied homes in Wildewood than on catching crooks. The Sheriff’s Department reports that between May 9th and 10th three armed robberies occurred in the parking lot of commercial businesses, (hotels and restaurants), in the Lexington Park and California area.
