Lancaster County Sheriff R. D. Crockett reports the following arrests and incidents:
June 23, 2015:
Damien A. Walters Jr., 34 of the 100 block of Ocran Road, was arrested for domestic assault and battery, destruction of property, and unlawful use or injury to telephone lines, all on June 23.
June 24
Terrell L. Gilreath Sr., 43 of the 400 block of Gaskins Road, was arrested for felony violation of probation ordered in a 2011 circuit court case; Stedman Elliot of Blue Jay Lane was charged with contempt of court on June 23; George E. Smith III, 43, of Riverwood Drive, was charged with contempt of court on June 23;
Richard A. Campbell, 54 of the 400 block of E. Church Street, was arrested for assault and battery on June 20;
Tyomica L. Ward, 33 of the 100 block of Ocran Road, was arrested for destruction of property on June 23.
June 26
Shawna L. Pfarr, 33, of Jones Drive, was arrested for domestic assault and battery on June 20.
June 27
David T. Pfarr, 44 of the 3,200 block of Irvington Road, was arrested for violation of a protective order on June 26.
June 19
Amanda D. Byrd, 27 of Old Orchard Road, was charged with contempt of court on June 17.
June 22
Jovan D. Boyd, 29 of Mosquito Point Road, was arrested on a Richmond County charge of failure to appear in court on May 22;
Devon N. Robinson, 28 of Lancaster Creek Drive, was arrested for brandishing a firearm and violation of a protective order, both on June 19.
Bear sightings in Lancaster County Virginia
Deputies notified the game commission of a complaint of a bear in the Devils Bottom Road area getting into trash several times in the past week (the complainant observed bear tracks);
Deputies notified the game department of a bear being sighted in the area of Technology Park Drive.
Boater in distress off Pirates Beach
Deputies notified VMRC and USCG Milford Haven of a reported boater in distress off of “Pirates Beach” and provided the latitude/longitude of the person making the report.
Sinking boat at the dock – don’t call us says Coast Guard and Virginia Marine Police
Deputies received a boat owner’s report of his/her boat sinking at their dock at Snug Harbor (VMRC & UCSG notified; both advised to tell the caller to contact his/her boat mechanic; no hazmat spill involved).
