<p>The Delaware State Police Crash Reconstruction Unit is currently investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash which has left a male pedestrian dead that occurred early this morning in Wilmington.</p>
<p>The initial investigation has determined that the crash occurred this morning, Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at approximately 12:18 a.m., as an unidentified male pedestrian was attempting to cross the southbound lanes of I-95 approaching Martin Luther King Boulevard, in Wilmington. As he entered into the right hand lane, the pedestrian was struck by a 2005 Chevrolet Impala, which was being operated by Robin D. Hughes, 22, of Wilmington, DE. The force of the impact caused the pedestrian to be thrown to the roadway. He was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene by responding Emergency Medical Services personnel. The male victim’s body was then turned over to the Division of Forensic Sciences where an autopsy will be conducted and attempts to identify him were made.</p>
<p>After the impact Robin Hughes was able to bring his vehicle to a controlled stop on the shoulder of the roadway. Neither he, nor a 24 year old male passenger in his car, where injured.</p>
<p>This crash remains under investigation by the Delaware State Police Crash Reconstruction Unit. The right hand lane of southbound I-95 and the exit to Martin Luther King Boulevard were closed for approximately 3 hours as the crash was investigated and cleared.</p>
<p>The Facebook page for John Manista made repeated references to being homeless but evidently not phoneless. He offered several postings to the world showing he was likely to commit suicide:</p>

<p>Another &#8220;Friend&#8221; replied:</p>
