High-speed on a curve turned fatal for Jason Lee Brown
DELMAR, MD. — Maryland’s roadways were full of impaired drivers between Friday April 24th and Sunday April 26th with several fatal wrecks taking place around the state.
A frequent cause of these wrecks were speed and coming up close behind was alcohol.
According to Wicomico County Sheriff Mike Lewis, on Saturday, April 25th, 2015, at approximately 11:07 PM, Wicomico County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a single vehicle collision on Connelly Mill Road near Shadow Lane in Delmar, Maryland; and found the driver of the pickup to be dead.
Sheriff Lewis identified the dead man as Jason Lee Brown, 35, of Salisbury, MD
Upon arrival, deputies discovered a 1991 Chevy S-10 Pickup truck destroyed from an apparent collision with multiple trees along the roadway. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle had been ejected and died at the scene.
Investigation by on-scene deputies revealed that the pickup truck was traveling at a very high rate of speed on westbound Connelly Mill Road near Foskey Lane, when the driver lost control on a roadway curve, and left the roadway striking a curb and several trees. Failing to wear a seat belt, the driver was ejected from the vehicle during the collision with the trees and sustained fatal injuries.
Speed and failure to use a seat belt is believed to be factors in this FATAL collision.
