Richard Jacobs Found Shot to Death in his Car
Magnolia, Del. – Delaware State Police report that their Homicide Unit detectives continue to investigate the death of a man who was found shot inside of a car in Magnolia.
The investigation began Friday, March 27, 2015, at approximately 11:20 p.m., after troopers responded to the unit block of Grays Lane in the Meadowbrook Acres development, Magnolia, DE, for the report of shots fired. Upon their arrival, troopers located a male subject deceased in the driver’s seat of a 1998 Ford Escort.
The male victim, later identified as Richard L. Jacobs, Jr., 44, of Dover, DE, was transported from the scene by the Office of Forensic Science where an autopsy was performed. The manner of death has been ruled a homicide with the cause of death being multiple gunshot wounds to the body.
The investigation into this incident by the Delaware State Police Homicide Unit is continuing. No further details will be released at this time as to not jeopardize the integrity of the investigation.
