Culpeper Police Beat: Drunk and Not Neighborly Geezers Dispute Included Knives, Bats and Guns

<h1><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;the-chesapeake&period;com&sol;&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2015&sol;01&sol;Geezers-at-war-in-Culpeper&period;jpg"><img class&equals;"alignleft size-large wp-image-7186" src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;the-chesapeake&period;com&sol;&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2015&sol;01&sol;Geezers-at-war-in-Culpeper-1024x696&period;jpg" alt&equals;"Geezers at war in Culpeper" width&equals;"1024" height&equals;"696" &sol;><&sol;a>Drunk and Not Neighborly Geezers Included Knives and Guns<&sol;h1>&NewLine;<p><strong>Reports of firearms violations resulted in charges for both the suspect and the complainant Saturday night&period;<&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>CULPEPER&comma; VA&period; Culpeper County Sheriff’ Office reports that at about 5&colon;46 PM Saturday&comma; January 3&comma; 2014&comma; Culpeper County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a person with a gun in the 9000 block of General Winder Road&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>When deputies arrived&comma; <strong>Johnny R&period; Burrell<&sol;strong>&comma; 65&comma; &lpar;shown above at left&rpar; of <strong>Rapidan&comma;<&sol;strong> reported that<strong> Robert W&period; Woolen<&sol;strong> was on his property and had pointed a gun at him and threatened him with it&period; Woolen’s pickup was at the residence&comma; but Woolen was gone on arrival&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Burrell identified himself as a law enforcement officer&period; After additional deputies&comma; <strong>Virginia State Police<&sol;strong>&comma; and a K9 from Fauquier searched for about 90 minutes&comma; Burrell retracted his statement that Woolen was armed&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Woolen&comma; 61&comma; of Stafford&comma; was found shortly thereafter and arrested for drunk in public by<strong> Deputy Charles Burgoon<&sol;strong>&period; He was committed to Culpeper County Jail until sober&period; Woolen reported that Burrell threatened him with a knife but refused to press charges&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>At about 8&colon;36 PM CCSO received a report of shots fired and someone hollering at the same address&period; When Deputy Burgoon arrived&comma; he found Woolen’s pickup vandalized- with the windows broken&comma; the tires slashed&comma; and the headlights knocked out&period; During his investigation&comma; Burgoon recovered a wooden baseball bat used by Burrell to break the glass&period; Burrell reported that Woolen threatened him with something&comma; and he reacted by getting a butcher knife and swinging it at him&period; Burrell was arrested for attempted malicious wounding&comma; destruction of property&comma; impersonating a law enforcement officer&comma; and false report to a law enforcement officer&period; He is held at <strong>Culpeper County Jail<&sol;strong> without bond&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;amazon&period;com&sol;The-Privateer-Clause-Cruising-Dangerous&sol;dp&sol;B00JMPNXZ8&sol;ref&equals;tmm&lowbar;aud&lowbar;title&lowbar;0&quest;ie&equals;UTF8&amp&semi;qid&equals;1420656195&amp&semi;sr&equals;1-7"><img class&equals;"alignleft wp-image-6364 size-full" src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;the-chesapeake&period;com&sol;&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2014&sol;10&sol;The-Privateer-Clause-aud-cov&period;jpg" alt&equals;"The Privateer Clause aud cov" width&equals;"300" height&equals;"300" &sol;><&sol;a><&sol;p>&NewLine;
