<p>HOLLYWOOD, MD. St. Mary’s Sheriff Tim Cameron reports that a Texas man with a pricey hot rod took a cold dip into the Patuxent River on Christmas Day.</p>
<p>There were no known baptismal ceremonies taking place on that holy day.</p>
<p>Deputies responded to the end of Clark&#8217;s Landing Road for the report of a vehicle in the river.</p>
<p>The investigation revealed, Douglas Scott Berkshire, 38, of Austin, Texas, drove a 2011 BMW 335I, 300-400 feet off of the roadway into the water. He was subsequently arrested and charged with Driving under the Influence.</p>
<p>Berkshire was charged on April 12, 2008 with furnishing alcohol to a minor and on July 30, 2008 he entered a guilty plea in District Court of St. Mary’s County, Md. He was fined $250. On that arrest citation he listed his address as on Cooney Neck Road in Mechanicsville.</p>
<p>The <em><strong>Hollywood Volunteer Fire Department</strong> </em>posted this report on the incident on their website: At 0107 hours Station 7 and Station 79 were dispatched to 24550 Clarkes Landing Lane for the reported vehicle in the water. Rescue Squad 7 responded shortly after dispatch with 6 Volunteers.</p>
<p>Rescue Squad 7 arrived to find a single vehicle approximately 200 feet off the end of a Boat Ramp with all occupants out. The Ambulance obtained 2 signed refusals and the scene was turned over to the Sheriff&#8217;s Department. The next day Utility 7 and Raft 7 returned to the scene to assist the towing company with recovery of the vehicle.</p>

<p>12-23-14 BURGLARY &#8211; A victim, who resides on King James Parkway in Lexington Park, reported a white male suspect was attempting to force entry into her home. The suspect was gone on the arrival of deputies. Case remains open. Case #68366-14</p>
<p>12-23-14 BURGLARY &#8211; A victim, who resides on Mallard View Lane in St. Inigoes, reported unknown suspect(s) forced entry into his residence and stole property. Case remains open. CASE #68378-14</p>
<p>12-23-14 ATTEMPTED ROBBERY &#8211; The owner of <strong>Yummy&#8217;s Korean and Japanese Restaurant</strong> located on Great Mills Road, reported an unidentified black male suspect entered the store and assaulted him while demanding money. When the owner refused to hand over money the suspect fled. Case remains open. CASE #68432-14</p>
<p>12-24-14 BURGLARY &#8211; A complainant reported seeing a broken window on the Mission located on 21015 Great Mills Road. The complainant saw a black male suspect inside. The suspect was gone on the arrival of deputies. Case remains open. CASE #68475-14</p>
<p>12-24-14 BURGLAR MOTOR VEHICLE &#8211; A victim, who resides on Teddy Way, reported unknown suspect(s) entered 2 of his unlocked vehicles and stole property. Case remains open. CASE #68524-14</p>
<p>12-24-14 BURGLARY MOTOR VEHICLE &#8211; A victim, who resides on Oak Court, reported unknown suspect(s) entered his unlocked vehicle and stole property. Case remains open. CASE #68528-14</p>
<p>12-24-14 BURGLARY MOTOR VEHICLE &#8211; A victim, who resides on Teddy Way, reported unknown suspect(s) entered her unlocked vehicle. Nothing appeared to have been stolen. Case remains open. CASE #68528-14</p>
<p>12-25-14 BURGLARY &#8211; A victim, who resides on Mattapany Road, reported unknown suspect(s) stole property from the residence by reaching through a window. Case remains open. CASE #68761-14</p>
<p>12-26-14 BURGLARY MOTOR VEHICLE &#8211; A victim, who resides on Nancy Lane in Great Mills, reported she loaded a tv into her vehicle and went back inside. When the victim returned minutes later the tv was gone. Case remains open. CASE #68786-14</p>
<p>12-26-14 THEFT &#8211; A large amount of mail was found discarded on Wigeon Place in Mechanicsville. Case remains open. CASE #68921-14</p>
<p>12-27-14 BURGLARY &#8211; A victim, who resides on Horsehead Road in Great Mills, reported unknown suspect(s) entered his garage and stole property. Case remains open. CASE #69003-14</p>
<p>12-27-14 VANDALISM &#8211; Unknown suspect(s) damaged trash cans and lights at the 7th District Park on Colton&#8217;s Point. CASE #69085-14</p>
<p>12-28-14 PROPERTY DESTRUCTION &#8211; A victim, who resides on Steer Horn Neck Road reported unknown suspect(s) damaged her mailbox with what appeared to have been a shotgun round. Case remains open. CASE #69233-14</p>
