<p>GLEN BURNIE, MD. A young girl was home alone when a burglar came calling and unlike the famous series of movies, this child was unprepared to combat the dangerous intruder herself, but she did the next best thing to dropping a cinderblock in his head or spraying him with paint.</p>
<p>Anne Arundel County Police report that on October 20, 2014, at approximately 7:24 a.m., officers from the Eastern District responded to a residence in the 700 block of Wesley Road in Glen Burnie for a<strong> residential burglary in progress</strong>. An 11-year-old female was home at the time waiting to leave for school when she heard loud banging coming from the rear deck of the residence. As she investigated the noise, the female saw an unknown male tampering with the back door. The juvenile immediately ran to the neighbors and called 9-1-1.</p>
<p>Upon arrival, officers located a male suspect exiting the rear yard of the residence. The suspect was quickly taken into custody without incident. The suspect was carrying a backpack containing numerous electronic devices from the residence and he was in possession of a small hammer. Investigation revealed that the suspect broke out the glass to the rear door to the residence. Once inside, the suspect rummaged through several rooms of the house, removing numerous electronic devices as well as loose change and items from a coin collection.</p>
<p>Suspect: <strong>Dannyell Anthony Darby</strong>, 46, of 601 Cecil Avenue North, Millersville, Md. Charges placed by Anne Arundel Police Officer Rzepkowski include seven counts of: 1<sup>st</sup>, 3<sup>rd</sup> and 4<sup>th</sup> degree burglary, theft over $1,000 and destruction of property.</p>
<p>Whether or not Darby would have attacked the child is problematic, but he has a record of <strong>Domestic Violence</strong> with an order issued against him on Dec. 9, 2013.</p>
<p>Darby’s burglary career includes the recent charges against him in Anne Arundel County on Oct 20<sup>th</sup> for which he has already been released on bail through the efforts of <strong>Dwayne C. Johnson</strong> of Baltimore, Md. According to court records, Darby is a slight figure of a dangerous burglar, a male who weighs 165 pounds and is 5’7” tall, but fully capable of cutting a terrifying figure to a child, a woman or an elderly citizen.</p>
<p>Should Darby decide to continue his career path, citizens need to know that in the past he has been armed.</p>
<p>Charges of possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a felony along with <strong>discharging a firearm</strong> were placed against him in Baltimore City on March 12, 2004 from an incident a month earlier.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.the-chesapeake.com//wp-content/uploads/2014/05/Home-Invasion.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-3928" src="https://www.the-chesapeake.com//wp-content/uploads/2014/05/Home-Invasion-248x300.jpg" alt="Home Invasion" width="248" height="300" /></a><strong>Assistant States Attorneys Andrea Mason and Traci Robinson</strong> were opposed by Public Defender (paid for by taxpayers) Robert A. Cohen. After three long years of filings to suppress evidence, produce documents, obtain Grand Jury testimony the case went to the Circuit Court and eventually was dropped on Nov. 26, 2007.</p>
<p>When he pleaded guilty in Anne Arundel County District Court to violating an exparte order on Oct. 28, 1998, Darby was sentenced to ten days in jail.</p>
<p>Darby was charged in Anne Arundel County District Court on Sept. 16, 2009 for burglary charges in an incident which took place on Oct. 12, 2008 to Dec. 29, 2008. His case was forwarded to Circuit Court but Maryland online court records do not reflect the eventual, if any, disposition of the charges. The warrant for the burglary charges were served on May 29, 2011 and Darby was in jail for two days. It is not unusual for warrants to go for years without being served.</p>
<p>In Baltimore City District Court charges were filed on May 23, 2002 of attempting to distribute drugs. <strong>Police officers Charles Crocker, Joseph Green, Keith Jennings and Troy Taylor</strong> were listed as witnesses and the case was forwarded to Circuit Court for trial.</p>
<h2>Cops Nail Two Evil-Doers Allegedly Stealing from Parked Vehicles</h2>
<p>BROOKLYN PARK, MD. On October 20, 2014, at approximately 11:44 p.m., Northern District officers responded to the area of Cross Street and Wasena Avenue for a report of tampering with automobiles in progress.</p>
<p>Officers saturated the area and began looking for the individuals involved in the incident. Two people were located walking in the area of 6th Street and Cross Street and were stopped for questioning.</p>
<p>The officer spoke with both individuals about items they had in their possession. After speaking with another officer who was with the complainant, it was verified that these items were stolen from vehicles in the area. Both suspects were placed under arrest and the stolen property was returned to the owners.</p>
<p>Suspect #1: <strong>Osborne David Chaney,</strong> 26, of 4139 Mariban Court, Baltimore Md</p>
<p>Suspect #2: <strong>Charles Emanuel Bowens</strong> 22 of 3089 Brooklyn Avenue Baltimore Md.</p>
