Seven arrested in drug raid that yielded quantities of pot, crack and heroin; one convicted felon with a gun gets a fast track to prison
GLEN BURNIE, MD. (Sept. 19, 2014) Anne Arundel Police report that one man was found to be in possession of a shotgun even though his criminal record as a felon prohibits him from owning a gun. This turkey was nabbed as police executed a search warrant on a residence in Glen Burnie, after receiving reports from residents of the area.
On September 18, 2014 at approximately 9:30 p.m. detectives from Northern District’s Tactical Narcotics Team (TNT) with the assistance of the Special Operations Section executed a narcotics search warrant at 1006 Sharon Drive in Glen Burnie. This search warrant was the result of numerous citizens’ complaints of drug activity at the residence. As a result, heroin, crack cocaine, marijuana, a shotgun, U.S. currency, and CDS paraphernalia for distribution was recovered.
As a result of this operation, detectives seized the following:
- 14.87 grams of crack cocaine (approximate street value $1,450.00)
- 3.13 grams of heroin (approximate street value $313.00)
- 5.63 grams of marijuana (approximate street value $60..00)
- 12 gauge shotgun
- CDS distribution paraphernalia (digital scales, packaging material)
- $1,923 in U.S. Currency
