Worcester County Maryland Sheriff’s Office reports the following arrests:
Miranda’s Bohn Bong Show
BERLIN, MD. — Police report that on August 7, 2014 at approximately 2300 hours, a Worcester County Sheriff’s Office Deputy was on patrol on Ocean Gateway in the area of Old Ocean City Blvd., Berlin Md. The Deputy observed a vehicle swerving within its lane.
The Deputy further observed the vehicle to cross the center line and the shoulder line several times. The Deputy stopped the vehicle and identified the driver as, Miranda Ann Marie Bohn, 19, Willards, Md. The Deputy detected the odor of suspected marijuana coming from the vehicle’s interior. The Deputy located and seized a mutli-color smoking device and a small glass jar containing marijuana.
Ms. Bohn was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Paraphernalia.
Ms. Bohn was released pending trial.
The Midnight Ride of Stephanie Ward
BERLIN, MD. — According to the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office, on August 08, 2014 at approximately 0222 hours, a Worcester County Sheriff’s Office Deputy was stationary monitoring traffic on Rt. 90 in the area of Rt. 113 Berlin, Worcester County, Md.
A vehicle that was approaching from behind the Deputy pulled off the roadway onto the shoulder, turned its headlights off and activated the vehicle’s emergency flashers.
The Deputy approached the vehicle and made contact with the driver, identified as Stephanie Ward, 30 years of age from Elkridge Md. When the Deputy opened the door to speak with Ms. Ward, he immediately detected the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the driver’s breath and person.
The Deputy asked the driver if everything was ok at which time she replied that she had realized she was too intoxicated to drive so she pulled over. Ms. Ward did poorly on field sobriety tests. Ms. Ward was placed under arrest and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.
Ms. Ward was released pending trial.
Three times the limit was lucky number for DUI Tracy Lynn Dennis
BERLIN, MD. — On August 02, 2014 at approximately 2113 hours, A deputy was on patrol on Rt. 113 in the area of Basket Switch rd. when he observed a vehicle swerving within the lane. The Deputy further observed the vehicle to cross the shoulder line and drive on the shoudler for a short period of time several times.
The Deputy conducted a traffic stop and while speaking with the driver he detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage from from the drivers breath and person. During the investigation, the driver admitted to consuming several alcoholic beverages prior to the traffic stop.
The Deputy put the driver through standardized field sobriety tests which the driver completed poorly. She was arrested and transported to the MSP barrack- Berlin for breath test. The test result was .19. The driver was later released on several traffic citations.

Traffic charges, driving while suspended and a beach bag full of drugs
BERLIN, MD. — On July 27, 2014 at approximately 1503 hours, a Worcester County Sheriff’s Office Deputy, stopped a vehicle for 93 in a posted 55 M.P.H. zone in the area of Worcester HWY/Mason Rd near Berlin, Md.
The Deputy identified the driver as Justin L. Charles, 27, of Brooklyn, NY. A license check showed that Mr. Charles’s New York driver’s license was suspended. Mr. Charles was issued 4 traffic citations for driving on a suspended license, driving without a license, speeding (93 in a 55 MPH zone), and speed greater than reasonable on a highway.
A search of the vehicle suspected Marijuana and paraphernalia were found. Mr. Charles was placed under arrest for possession of Marijuana, possession of CDS with the intent to distribute, and possession of CDS paraphernalia. Mr. Charles was taken before the District Court Commissioner, and was held on $3,000.00 bond in the Worcester County jail, and is awaiting trial.
South of the Border, Down Mexico Wayward and Wanted
BISHOPVILLE, MD. — On 7/22/2014 a Worcester County Sheriff’s Office Deputy stopped a vehicle on Bishopville Road in the area of Bishop Street, Bishopville Maryland for speeding
The driver was identified as Oliverio Cruz-Jose, a 24 year old male from Mexico. A wanted check showed that Mr. Cruz-Jose had an outstanding warrant for failing to appear for court in Worcester County. It was also determined that Mr. Cruz-Jose had 2 additional warrants under an alias he had used during a prior arrest. Mr. Cruz-Jose was placed under arrest on the outstanding warrants. Cruz-Jose was taken before a District Court Commissioner.
