<p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma,Tahoma;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma,Tahoma;">(July 22, 2014) </span></span><span style="font-family: Arial,Arial;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Arial;">– Deputy State Fire Marshals are currently on the scene investigating the cause of a church fire which was reported earlier this morning at 11:12 A.M. </span></span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-family: Arial,Arial; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Arial;">The fire was reported to the 911 Center by a passerby. </span></span> <span style="font-family: Arial,Arial; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Arial;">Numerous fire departments from Wicomico County and Delaware led by <a href="http://www.hebronvfd.com/" target="_blank"><strong>Hebron VFD</strong> </a>responded to the fire which quickly escalated to three-alarms.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial,Arial; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Arial;">It is estimated nearly 100 firefighters are still currently extinguishing the blaze. </span> </span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Arial;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Arial;">The fire involved a 243-year old church located 8700 Memory Gardens Lane. </span></span></span> <span style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Arial;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Arial;">St. Paul’s Episcopal Church also known as Spring Hill Church recently celebrated its 240</span></span><span style="font-family: Arial,Arial;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Arial;">th </span></span><span style="font-family: Arial,Arial;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Arial;">Anniversary in October 2013. </span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Arial;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Arial;">The building has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1976.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">The origin and cause of the fire are currently under investigation at this time and preliminary damage is estimated at approximately $500,000.00.</span></p>
