<b>Allegany</b><b> County</b> – A Baltimore man was charged on May 10 with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after officers questioned him at a camp site in Green Ridge State Forest.<br />
<strong>Alexander Wilson Rodgers</strong>, 31, admitted that a pipe sitting on a table was his and gave officers a bag of marijuana he had in his vehicle.<br />
If found guilty in Allegany District Court, Rodgers faces a maximum jail sentence of 90 days and a $1,000 fine.<br />
<b>Garrett</b><b> County</b> – Officers on patrol in SavageStateForest on May 9 charged a Brandywine man with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.<br />
<strong>Robert Curtis Swartzwelder</strong>, 34, was issued two citations. If found guilty in Garrett District Court at a later date, he faces a maximum jail sentence of 90 days and a $1,000 fine.<br />
<b>Washington County – </b>Officers charged a Clear Spring man on May 10 with illegally hunting wild turkeys.<br />
<strong>Merle Edward Keefer</strong>, 77, was issued a citation after he was found hunting at 7:45 a.m. in an area that had been baited with cracked corn. He also was issued a warning for hunting in a safety zone.<br />
He is scheduled to appear in Washington District Court on July 15. If found guilty, Keefer could be fined up to $1,500.</p>
