William “Reds” Livingston On Saturday, August 31, 2013, of La Plata, MD, age 82, of congestive heart failure. His family was blessed to have so many wonderful years with him. Reds grew up in Louisville, GA, the son of the late Almarine and John Livingston Jr. His loving wife of 60 years, Barbara, passed away on August 4, 2013. He was an avid boater, fisherman and gardener, and enjoyed spending time on Jutland Creek in St. Mary’s County, MD. Reds was the beloved father of Deborah Sharpe (Frank), Donna King, Michael Livingston (Pam), and Diane Oliver (Terry); devoted grandfather to Kristen Midgett, Kimberly Livingston, Emily and Matthew King, Pamela and Amy Oliver, and Katherine and Natalie Sharpe; and great-grandfather to Ryan Ball, Elijah Larsen, and Charlotte Midgett. He is survived by his brothers John Livingston III and Robert Livingston, and was predeceased by his sister, Margaret Hattaway. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 7, from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at La Plata United Methodist Church, 3 Port Tobacco Road, La Plata, MD 20646, followed by a funeral service at 11:00. A private burial will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, Attn: Membership Department, 6 Herndon Avenue, Annapolis, MD 21403.
