McNeil and Arndt have been charged with illegal possession of a firearm, illegal possession of ammunition, possession of a stolen regulated firearm, possessing a handgun in a vehicle, and possessing a handgun on person.
Police say that the vehicle was noted for a speed violation in the area of S/B US Rt. 13 north of the Maryland/Virginia line. During the course of the stop, Troopers conducted a K-9 free air sniff of the vehicle utilizing a State Police canine. The scan resulted in a positive alert for the presence of a controlled dangerous substance. Search of the vehicle produced a suit case in the trunk of the vehicle. Inside of the suitcase was a shoe box containing a significant quantity of cocaine.
