The suspect then fired several shots from his gun towards his pursuers; however, none of them were struck as he clearly only knew how to steal a gun, not become proficient with it while firing backwards as he ran. The initial investigation indicates that the victim and a friend were walking west on Obrecht Rd from Jumpers Hole Rd. They were walking along the edge of the westbound lane of Obrecht Rd when the victim was struck from behind by an unknown vehicle. The vehicle continued traveling west and did not stop and remain at the scene after the collision.

The victim was transported to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma by Anne Arundel County Paramedics due to life threatening injuries. At this time, his condition has improved and he is listed in critical, but stable condition.
