Gary Greenwood pleads guilty to arson fire of vacant store that injured firefighter. On July 1, 2011, Deputy State Fire Marshals and Special Agents with the ATF investigated a four alarm blaze at the Stop & Go Mini-Mart and gas station located at 521 & 523 South Main Street in Federalsburg. The blaze was called in at approximately 3:50 a.m. by a passerby. The fire heavily damaged two connected masonry structures.
As the men began to exit, one of them, later identified as Michael Ryan Hunter, 26, of Mechanicsville, turned to Bortchevsky, took a step toward the officer, with his hands curled into fists, and loudly yelled an obscene remark. Hunter was advised he was under arrest and began flailing in an attempt to avoid being handcuffed.
On 4/13/15 at 5:28 pm, Trooper First Class Matthews responded to the Kmart Store in Prince Frederick for a theft with shoplifter in custody. Shaquanda N. Cooke, 23 of Huntingtown, was found with $130.00 in merchandise which she attempting to leave the store without paying for the items.
A 1996 Oldsmobile Cutlass Cierra was traveling east on Route 207 when it struck the Deputy who was standing in the intersection directing traffic. The Deputy was wearing a reflective vest equipped with LED lights and using a traffic baton
Werner was soon located driving on Nanticoke Road heading towards Salisbury and was taken into custody. Werner was transported to the Central Booking unit where he was charged and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, the Commissioner detained Werner in the Detention Center without bond.

The collision occurred around 1:00pm, Wednesday 15 April 2015 when two jet ski’s collided, causing two riders from one and one rider from the other to be thrown into the water. The 31 year old deceased, Robert Cole and his 37 year old female passenger were visiting the Cayman Islands from Virginia, USA at the time of the incident.
As a result of the investigation, the driver of the Porsche, David Ray Godfrey, 69, of Waterford, Virginia was arrested and charged with Attempted Malicious Wounding. Mr. Godfrey was taken before a Magistrate where he was released on a $5000 unsecured bond.
The investigation began in February, when detectives identified online child pornography they traced through computer forensics to Gibson. Search and seizure warrants were executed at Gibson’s home and place of employment on April 16; detectives seized computers and hard drives belonging to Gibson containing a massive amount of child pornography.
Judge Rupp, the public defenders (a different one most weeks and all paid for by taxpayers) and Stinnie must have gotten to be real chums with all those weekly court sessions in Drug Court.
