Gordon Edwin Fisher killed in Westminster fire

A team of investigators from the Office of the State Fire Marshal and the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office are actively working to determine the cause for the fire and death of the homeowner at 1299 Naugahyde Road in Westminster. The 12:46 p.m. blaze on Friday, November 21, 2014, was initially called in by the homeowner, Gordon Edwin Fisher Jr. (75), and the phone was disconnected shortly afterward.

On November 16, 2014, Detective Corporal David Alexander and Detective Scott Ruest were able to identify a suspect in the case. On November 20, 2014, detectives located the suspect, identified as a 16-year-old male from Leonardtown, and placed him under arrest for the burglary. Detectives subsequently recovered 34 firearms, approximately 1,000 rounds of ammunition, 8 knives, and 1 guitar – which accounts for all of the items and weapons stolen during the burglary.

This case was the result of a two month long investigation into prescription fraud and health insurance abuse by Karasek. Ms. Karasek works in the medical billing field and handled billing for multiple doctors’ offices. Using her position Karasek located names and insurance information for multiple patients. She would then make or forge printed prescriptions for Oxycodone and other drugs and then pass these prescriptions at pharmacies located in and around Maryland. Investigators have determined that since the spring of 2014 Karasek has illegally obtained over 10,000 Oxycodone and other prescription pills and used the health insurance of the victims to pay for them. The street value of these pills is approximately $50,000.00.

The Baltimore FBI Violent Crimes Task Force is offering a reward for information leading to arrests in a string of robberies in Baltimore. Investigators believe two or three men are involved; one goes into the store to do the actual robbery while the others wait in the getaway car. They hit three businesses in one night on November 15, 2014.

Murder USA: Seydou Ba killer sought in Anne Arundel

Homicide detectives were able to identify the deceased as Seydou Alassane Ba, 46, of the 400 block of Christopher Avenue, Gaithersburg, Maryland. Detectives have notified family members and are in the process of conducting interviews with several witnesses. The Anne Arundel County Recruit Class responded to the area this afternoon and conducted an extensive search of the area looking for items of possible evidentiary value.

DELAWARE: Wicomico Sheriff Mike Lewis reports that Delaware is running low on drug dealers and wants this cat back. Police say that on 18 November 2014 at 12:00 PM a deputy arrested a wanted fugitive from the State of Delaware in the 1100 block of Pocahontas Avenue. Quindell Timmons was being sought by Delaware authorities in connection with a CDS Possession with the Intent to Deliver or Manufacture

Murder USA: Deion Moses sought for killing Brenden Wilson turned self in as manhunt unfolded

Police report that on November 10th at 4:28PM, officers responded to the 12500 block of Oakwood Dr in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a reported shooting. Officers arrived in the area and located the victim on a pathway between the Woodbridge Senior High School and adjoining neighborhood.

The victim, identified as a 16 year old male juvenile who attends Woodbridge Senior High School, sustained gunshot related injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. On November 11th, detectives from the Homicide Unit identified four suspects in connection to this case.

PARSONBURG, MD. — On 10 February 2014, a deputy began an investigation into a burglary and theft at a residence in the 33000 block of Bear Swamp Road in Parsonsburg. In this incident a subject forced entry by breaking a window and removed power tools and a camera. The investigating deputy discovered the items for sale in a local pawn shop in Salisbury and identified the individual who brought them in as Kevin Owens of Parsonsburg.
