Employees reported to police that five unknown suspects, 3 males and 2 females, entered the store and attempted to steal beer. When confronted by employees, a struggle ensued. All suspects fled the store with the beer prior to police arriving in the area. Minor injuries were reported

On April 21st, 2015 at approximately 7:00 a.m., investigators from the Anne Arundel County Police Department arrested the following correctional officers at the Jennifer Road Detention Center for arrest warrants pertaining to the grand jury indictment. The correctional officers were arrested without incident and processed at a district station.
Despite Stevens violently struggling with officers, police were successful in the safe rescue of Stevens from the residence. Gary Greenwood pleads guilty to arson fire of vacant store that injured firefighter. On July 1, 2011, Deputy State Fire Marshals and Special Agents with the ATF investigated a four alarm blaze at the Stop & Go Mini-Mart and gas station located at 521 & 523 South Main Street in Federalsburg. The blaze was called in at approximately 3:50 a.m. by a passerby. The fire heavily damaged two connected masonry structures.
As the men began to exit, one of them, later identified as Michael Ryan Hunter, 26, of Mechanicsville, turned to Bortchevsky, took a step toward the officer, with his hands curled into fists, and loudly yelled an obscene remark. Hunter was advised he was under arrest and began flailing in an attempt to avoid being handcuffed.
