<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">BRANDYWINE, MD. – A Prince Georges County Police Officer was shot and killed in the neighborhood in which he lived and the gunman fled towards Fort Washington where he fired at police on the ten-mile chase and was killed when he alighted from the car, fired at police and attempted to flee into a wooded area.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">“The Prince George’s County Police Department is mourning the loss of Corporal Mujahid Ramzziddin of our Special Operations Division’s Harbor Unit who was shot and killed while coming to the aid of a neighbor.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">We are still in early stages of the investigation. Preliminarily, we understand, Corporal Ramzziddin stepped in to help a neighbor who was being threatened by her estranged husband this morning outside of her home on Chadsey Lane in Brandywine. During that encounter, the suspect who was armed with a shotgun shot Corporal Ramzziddin. Our officer tragically died on the scene. The female neighbor wasn’t hurt. After shooting our officer, the suspect, 37-year-old Glenn Tyndell of the 11000 block Drumsheugh Court in Largo, fled the scene in a black SUV.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">PG Police reported that a short time later, Charles County Sheriff&#8217;s officers observed the suspects SUV on Berry Road near Bensville Road and began a pursuit.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">That pursuit led back into Prince George’s County where PG Police officers joined the pursuit. Tyndell bailed from his SUV on Indian Head Highway near Old Fort Road and there was an exchange of gunfire and Tyndell was fatally wounded. No other officers were hurt. Tyndell had three open warrants for second-degree assault. He was employed by Metro as a mechanic.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Corporal Mujahid Ramzziddin leaves behind a wife and four children. He was 51 years old. In 2006, he received a Silver Medal of Valor Award for his courage engaging an armed suspect. During his 14 years with the PGPD, Corporal Ramzziddin was assigned to District III, District IV, the WAVE Unit and our Gang Unit before his final assignment at the Harbor Unit.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">The Imam at Nation&#8217;s Mosque says a funeral for Cpl. Ramzziddin will be on Friday at the Diyanet Center of America in Lanham, Md. Time is to be determined.</span></p>

<h2>Domestic Violence Order Against Cop Killer Dumped by Judge Robin Dana Gill Bright Three Weeks Earlier</h2>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Glenn James Tyndell, of 15706 Chadsey Lane, Brandywine, Md., was the defendant in a domestic violence petition filed on Jan. 25, 2018 in Circuit Court of Prince Georges County, Maryland. On that date, Judge Bright presided, and court records show that the burden of proof was not met by the petitioner. This has to be the most dramatic reversal ever of a Prince Georges Circuit Court Judge.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">A summons was issued for the arrest of Tyndell on Jan. 21, 2018 in District Court of PG County charging him with theft under $1,500. Tyndell’s address was listed as 11338 Drumsheugh Lane on the warrant. The complainant was Joanne Tyndell.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">A protective order in the domestic violence case of Copeland vs Tyndell, against Tyndell, was issued by Circuit Court Judge Dawson on July 11, 2017.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Ironically, one of those rushing to appear before news cameras on Feb. 21, 2018 after Corporal Ramzziddin was murdered by Tyndell was PG County States Attorney Angela Alsobrooks. Alsobrooks dropped an assault charge brought by Tyndell against Nakia Jones of Upper Marlboro, Md., on Aug. 14, 2017. Catherine Jones appeared as the attorney for Nakia Jones.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">A peace order in a domestic violence case was denied on May 6, 2014, in Prince Georges District Court. Court records show that the Judge denied the protective order due to the evidence not being clear and convincing.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">A peace order against Glenn James Tyndell was closed statistically on Jan. 6, 2014.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Tyndell was charged with two counts of second-degree assault on Sept. 29, 2010, and all charges were dropped by Prince Georges County States Attorney Glen Ivey on Dec. 21, 2010.</span></p>
