Virginia State Police report that hotel sales director Gemma Duffy Died on Christmas Evening Crash
Virginia State Police Trooper L. Vajglova is investigating a single-vehicle crash in Fairfax County. The crash occurred Dec. 25, 2017, at 11:55 p.m. in Springfield.
The vehicle then caught fire and was engulfed when first responders
arrived on scene.
A 2016 Nissan Versa was traveling along the westbound Interstate 495 off-ramp (leading to the Eisenhower Connector Road) when it ran into the Jersey wall, overturned, and came to rest on the other side of the wall. The vehicle then caught fire and was engulfed when first responders arrived on scene.
The driver, Gemma G. Duffy, 24, of Springfield, Va., died at the scene.
