<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">EASTON, MD. – Talbot County Sheriff Joe Gamble reports that on January 13, 2017, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Goldsborough Neck Road and Airport Road about a vehicle in the ditch. For Yungbluth to have a vehicle in a ditch while driving drunk is beginning to be commonplace in Talbot County.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: 12pt;">The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was identified as, Neil Burgess Yungbluth, 33 of Cordova, MD. An odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected coming from Yungbluth’s breath. Yungbluth failed to perform field sobriety testing and was placed under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol. Yungbluth was later released at his residence after signing the traffic citations.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">On January 23, 2016, at approximately 03:14 am, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the area of Coveys Landing Road near Chapel Road for a single vehicle accident. Deputies observed a Dodge Ram pickup in a ditch off the roadway. Deputies made contact with the driver, Neil Burgess Yungbluth, 32 of Cordova, MD and detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and person. After performing standardized field sobriety tests, it was determined Yungbluth was driving under the influence of alcohol. Yungbluth was charged and released on his personal recognizance to a sober driver.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: 12pt;">Yungbluth, of 31053 Skipton Cordova Road, Cordova, Md., entered a guilty plea to DUI on April 13, 2016, in a plea deal with Talbot County States Attorney Scott Patterson. The deal called for 16 days in jail and no fine, leaving him with the money to get his vehicle fixed from his trip to the ditch. On July 7, 2016, he was found guilty of violating the terms of his probation.</span></p>

<h2><span style="font-size: 12pt;">2009 DUI ARREST</span></h2>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">On Feb. 4, 2009, Yungbluth was charged with DUI by Talbot Deputy Marlene Gieraltowski for a violation that took place on Jan. 1, 2009, while he drove a 1986 Chevy on Chapel Road near Klondike Road and caused a collision that resulted in one injury. On Feb. 14, 2009, Talbot County States Attorney Scott Patterson gave a deal to Yungbluth in exchange for his guilty plea. The Deal: Probation Before Judgement with a fine of $192.50 and no jail time. A taxpayer provided attorney, Eileen Marie Shannon-McClellan represented Yungbluth in arranging the plea deal with Patterson.</span></p>
