<h2>LOUDOUN SHERIFF POLICE BEAT / Two killed in high-speed crash into tree; David G. Brown saved from flaming wreckage and charged with reckless driving</h2>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">DULLES, VA- The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office reports that two passengers lost their lives in a single vehicle crash on Jan. 22, 2017, after the driver of the vehicle they died in fled from a deputy sheriff during an attempted traffic stop.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Shortly before 1:30 a.m. January 22, a Loudoun Sheriff’s Deputy was running RADAR and observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed heading northbound on Route 606 (Old Ox Road) near Dulles West Boulevard.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">The police </span>reports<span style="font-size: 12pt;"> that the Sheriff’s Deputy initiated a traffic stop and the driver disregarded a red traffic light and continued at a high rate of speed. The deputy marked in pursuit before losing sight of the vehicle. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">A short time later the deputy discovered the driver crashed into a tree in the area of Evergreen Mills Road and Stone Springs Boulevard near Arcola, Va. The total time of the traffic stop was less than 30 seconds. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">The driver of the vehicle was pulled from the car by the deputy as the vehicle became engulfed in flames. Two passengers inside the vehicle lost their lives at the scene. The names of the two victims have not been released pending positive identification and notification of next of kin.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">The driver, David G. Brown, 25, of Ashburn has been charged with reckless driving. The crash remains under investigation by the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Unit and additional charges are likely.</span></p>
