Jawann Montell Carroll MSP drug distribution arrest 2016
Maryland State Police Beat / Jawaan Carroll’s drug dealing trade diminished by loss of scales, cash, and drugs
GREAT MILLS, MD. – On Friday, April 29, 2016, Cpl. Gresko initiated a traffic stop on a silver passenger car on Suburban Drive at MD Rt. 246 for a minor traffic violation. During the course of the traffic stop, Cpl. Gresko determined that the driver had given a fictitious name, and identified him as Jawann Montell Carroll, 31, of 40505 Kavanaugh Road, Mechanicsville. Carroll was placed under arrest. Search incident to arrest revealed a digital scale containing suspected CDS, a large amount of U.S. currency, and two clear plastic baggies containing suspected CDS. Carroll was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and charged with Possession of CDS-Cocaine, Possession with the Intent to Distribute CDS- Cocaine, Possession with the Intent to Use Drug Paraphernalia, Making a False Statement to a Peace Officer and Driving While Suspended/ Revoked. On April 30, 2016, Carroll posted bond and was released.
Charged by a Maryland State Trooper on Oct. 23, 2015 with multiple counts of speeding, reckless driving and driving without a permit, St. Mary’s States Attorney Richard Fritz agreed to a plea deal on March 2, 2016, for Carroll which resulted in all charges being dropped in exchange for a guilty plea to driving while suspended. The result was a 60-day jail sentence with 58 days suspended.
Carroll was indicted for drug distribution in 2013 and in St. Mary’s Circuit Court on May 5, 2014, Carroll entered into a plea deal with States Attorney Fritz for a jail term of 3 years with 2 years suspended and the remaining time to be served in the Hotel St. Mary’s instead of the state prison system. Carroll was represented by Leonardtown Attorney Shane Mattingly to arranged this sweet deal for him with Fritz. The detectives on the case were St. Mary’s Deputies Michael Labanowski, Russell Trow, Thomas Seyfried and Heath Adams.
Carroll also entered a guilty plea to assault with burglary charges dropped in a plea deal with States Attorney Fritz on March 27, 2009, and was sentenced to 180 days in jail and a fine of $2500.00. He had been arrested by St. Mary’s Sheriff’s Detective Clay Safford.

Police say that on Saturday, April 30, 2016, TFC Regina was stationary at the Wawa in California when she observed a silver passenger car pull into the parking lot. Field sobriety was conducted, and Terrell was placed under arrest for DUI. She was also found to have a false government identification card through the state of Rhode Island. She was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and charged with DUI, Indecent Exposure, and Possess/Use False Government ID. Terrell was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

MECHANICSVILLE, MD. – Police say that on Sunday, May 1, 2016, Corporal M. Grimes responded to the 39000 block of Harpers Corner Road for a reported assault. Police say that their Investigation revealed that Jammie Lyn Dobson, 37, of Mechanicsville, had assaulted a male victim. Ms. Dobson was placed under arrest for Assault Second Degree. She was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

HOLLYWOOD, MD. – Police say that on Tuesday, May 3, 2016, Tpr. R. Geyer initiated a traffic stop on a blue passenger car at MD Rt. 235 at S. Sandgates Rd for a minor traffic violation. The driver, Alyssa Lee Windsor, 19, of Hollywood, admitted to having marijuana and paraphernalia in the vehicle. A probable cause search was conducted, resulting in the recovery of marijuana, paraphernalia, and 6 Oxycodone pills. Ms. Windsor was placed under arrest for CDS: Not Marijuana and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. She was issued a civil citation for CDS Marijuana: Less Than 10 Grams and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
Daeqon Marvis Morgan charged with being a spittin’ nasty prisoner with a foul mouth
LEXINGTON PARK, MD. – Police report that on Thursday, May 5, 2016, at 9:37 pm, Senior Tpr. Evans responded to the 46000 block of Hilton Drive for a suspicious person. S/Tpr. Evans contacted Daeqon Marvis Morgan, 19, of Lexington Park in the parking lot of the apartment complex. Morgan began shouting obscenities, drawing the attention of occupants of the apartment complex. Morgan was placed under arrest and placed in S/Tpr. Evans’ patrol car. While being transported to St. Mary’s County Detention Center, Morgan continued to yell obscenities and spit on S/Tpr. Evans’ left arm. He was charged with Disorderly Conduct and Assault and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
