<h2>Cops: Dumbest Burglar in History Left His Credit Card Behind After Stealing Laptop</h2>
<p>HOLLYWOOD, MD. – Maryland State Police report that on February 8, 2016 at 3:38 pm, Tpr. T. Holson responded to the 25000 block of Sotterly Road for a reported burglary. Investigation revealed that a side door window had been broken and a laptop had been stolen. The victims found a debit card lying on the living room floor belonging to Kyle Javiel Diaz, 24, of Lexington Park. A security camera at a nearby convenience store captured a suspect carrying the laptop, who was positively identified by the victims as Diaz. Tpr. Holson, Cpl. Murphy and TFC Regina responded to Diaz’s residence to question the suspect. Diaz admitted to stealing the laptop, and was placed under arrest. He was transported to the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack for questioning, and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with Burglary First Degree, Theft $1,000 to $10,000, and Malicious Destruction of Property less than $1000.</p>
<h1>Woman charged with beating man</h1>
<p>LEXINGTON PARK, MD. – Maryland State Police in Leonardtown report that on February 8, 2016 at 4:25 pm, Tpr. M. Johnson responded to the 21000 block of Liberty Street for a reported disturbance. Investigation revealed that Sydney Elise Johnson, 20, of Lexington Park, had assaulted a male victim. Ms. Johnson was placed under arrest for Assault Second Degree and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. She was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.</p>

<p>CALIFORNIA, MD. – With the generation who believes that FREE STUFF is the way to go, supporting a Socialist for President, and believing that they don’t have to work in order to eat, then Walmart must be their Paradise. All that stuff just waiting to be stolen! But wait! This guy in this story isn’t a youngster! In fact, police report he is an old guy and a repeat shoplifting customer of Walmart. Police say that Walmart told him once before to stay out of their store! <strong><em>Egads, Batman, what is this world coming to?</em></strong></p>
<p>Maryland State Police report that on February 10, 2016 at 2:43 pm, Tpr. Geyer responded to the Wal-Mart for a reported trespassing and theft. Investigation revealed that James Frederick Sheehan, 59, of Lexington Park, had been observed placing items into his backpack and passed all points of sale. Wal-Mart has an active Notice Not to Trespass Order in place against the suspect from a prior incident on January 7. Sheehan was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with Theft Less Than $100 and Trespass: Private Property. Sheehan was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.</p>
<h1>Life is too short for assaults on Lifelong Landing</h1>
<p>HOLLYWOOD, MD. – State Police say that on February 11, 2016 at 1:32 am, Tpr. D. Coppedge responded to the 43000 block of Lifelong Landing Lane for a reported assault. Investigation revealed that James Alton Abell, Jr., 18, of Hollywood had assaulted a male victim. Abell was placed under arrest for Assault Second Degree and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.</p>
<h1>Man Charged with Beating Woman</h1>
<p>HERMANVILLE, MD. – Roughing up and smacking a woman can land a guy in jail. State Police report that on February 13, 2016, at 2:44 am, Tpr. M. Johnson responded to the 20000 block of Hermanville Road for a reported assault. Investigation revealed that Joseph Patrick Messineo, 52, of Lexington Park, had assaulted a female victim. Messineo was placed under arrest for Assault Second Degree and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.</p>
<h1>Lusbian named as Undocumented Shopper at Walmart</h1>
<p>CALIFORNIA, MD. – On February 14, 2016 at 8:15 pm, Tpr. Geyer responded to the Wal-Mart for a reported theft. Investigation revealed that April Lynn Stewart, 41, of Lusby, had been observed placing items into her purse and passed all points of sale. E. M. Evans; Lengfield was arrested at 12:15 am on Rt. 5 at Potato Hill Farm Lane. Lengfield was arrested for DUI on Oct. 17, 2015 by St. Mary’s Sheriff’s Deputy David Corcoran. In District Court of St. Mary’s on Feb. 3, 2016, St. Mary’s States Attorney Richard Fritz agreed to a plea deal for Lengfield, represented by attorney Kevin J. McDevitt, that allowed Lengfield to escape any jail time and simply pay a fine of $484.50 with $300 of the fine suspended. This plea deal was approved by Fritz in spite of the fact that Lengfield had been arrested again for the same charge three weeks earlier. To compound the injury to the public, Fritz agreed to let Lengfield plead guilty to the lesser charge of reckless driving meaning the DUI charge won’t be counted against his record for the current arrest.</p>

<p>On Dec. 15, 2013, Lengfield, of 17306 Potomac Sands Drive, in Piney Point, was charged with DUI by St. Mary’s Sheriff’s Deputy Keith Moritz when he was stopped at 5:31 am on Rt. 249 at Tall Timbers Road. In District Court on March 12, 2014, Lengfield was represented by attorney McDevitt who won him a judgment of acquittal after he entered a plea of not guilty. He was found guilty of speeding and failing to drive right of center and paid fines of $64 for each ticket.</p>
<p>Lengfield was charged with possession of paraphernalia and marijuana on May 24, 2012, by St. Mary’s Sheriff’s Deputy Austin Schultz. On May 24, 2012, with attorney McDevitt representing him, States Attorney Fritz dropped both charges. No fine, no time.</p>
<p>Lengfield was charged with DUI on March 10, 2012, by St. Mary’s Deputy Austin Schultz when stopped on Piney Point Road at Rt. 5 at 11:21 pm. In a plea deal with States Attorney Fritz and represented by attorney McDevitt, Lengfield got off with no jail time and a $250 fine when he entered a plea of guilty.</p>
