Two New Murders of the Day
GREENBELT, MD. — Another day and another murder – make that two murders – in PG (Pretty Gory) County.
The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating a homicide in Greenbelt. The victim is 28-year-old Robert Dewayne Brandon Jr. of Greenbelt Road in Greenbelt. Preliminarily, detectives do not believe this was a random act. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
The first body found was on February 15, 2016, shortly after 11:00 pm, when patrol officers were called to the 8600 block of Greenbelt Road for the report of a shooting. The victim was found outside suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on scene.
Also, on Feb. 15, 2016, Police found Phillip Christopher Yorke of Rochelle Ave. in District Heights wounded by gunfire. Yorke died shortly afterwards at a hospital. On February 15, 2016, at around 4:45 pm, patrol officers were called to the 1900 block of Rochelle Avenue for the report of a shooting. Officers found the victim inside of an apartment building suffering from a gunshot wound. He died a short time later at a hospital.
