<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">FORT WASHINGTON, MD. &#8212; In an area of PG County, Md., where murder is no stranger, the shocking discovery of a young teacher and her toddler daughter who were shot to death adds to the dramatic picture of the suburban Washington county as being a cesspool of crime and an overflowing stew of endless numbers of homicides. Now police announced that a suspect has been charged, the father of the child, who was ordered to pay child support of $600 a month and may have committed the murders to escape that order.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Interim Police Chief Hank Stawinski along with Prince George’s County State’s Attorney Angela Alsobrooks announced an arrest in the murder of a mother and her daughter in Fort Washington.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">The suspect is 25-year-old Daron Maurice Boswell-Johnson of </span>the 6575<span style="font-size: 12pt;"> Pennsylvania Ave. #103 in District Heights, Md.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">The Prince George’s County Police Department reported on Feb. 2, 2016, that detectives are investigating the double homicide of a mother and her daughter that occurred early that day in Fort Washington. They are identified as 26-year-old NeShante Alesha Davis and 2-year-old Chloe Nichole Davis-Green of the 1300 block of Palmer Road in Fort Washington.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">On February 2, 2016, shortly before 7:00 am, patrol officers were called to the 1300 block of Palmer Road for the sound of gunshots.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Once on scene, officers found Davis suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead. Officers found her child, Davis-Green, in a nearby car, also suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. She was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><a href="https://www.the-chesapeake.com//2016/02/02/murder-usa-cops-charge-killer-of-young-teacher-and-toddler-found-shot-to-death-in-fort-washington/all-crime-promo-a/" rel="attachment wp-att-10580"><img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-10580" src="https://www.the-chesapeake.com//wp-content/uploads/2016/02/ALL-CRIME-promo-A-300x202.jpg" alt="ALL CRIME promo A" width="300" height="202" /></a>From the scene, Interim Chief Hank Stawinski told reporters investigators are pursuing viable leads and added, “This is a profoundly sad day and my prayers go out to the family for a crime that, frankly, shocks the conscience.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Davis was working in her first year as a teacher.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Detectives worked to identify a motive and quickly developed the father of the child as the suspect in this case. Police questioned Boswell-Johnson for several hours while he was in custody. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">NeShante Alesha Davis, who lived at 1314 Palmer Park Road in Fort Washington, where she was murdered, went to court in Prince Georges County on July 17, </span>2015<span style="font-size: 12pt;"> and sought the aid of the Office of Child Support Enforcement to force Boswell-Johnson to pay child support.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Court records show that on Oct. 14, </span>2015<span style="font-size: 12pt;"> DNA tests confirmed that Boswell-Johnson was the father of the baby he allegedly shot to death.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">On Dec. 8, 2015, Circuit Court Judge Serrette ordered Boswell-Johnson to pay $600 per month and pay for the $84 cost of the paternity DNA test.</span></p>
