<p>GAITHERSBURG, MD. <strong>Three Suspects Arrested for Shady Grove Metro Armed Robbery – Crime Solvers Tipster Helped Close This Case. </strong>Detectives from the Montgomery County Police – Major Crimes Division report that they have arrested Milton Forrest Graves Jr., age 19, of the 4300 block of 23rd Parkway in Temple Hills, Daniel Edward Hurey, age 19, of the 2100 block of Mississippi Avenue S.E., Washington D.C., and Robert Delante Dawkins, age 25, of the 3900 block of Northgate Place in Waldorf, for the May 8 armed robbery of a 17-year-old male at the Shady Grove Metro Station elevator.</p>

<p>Police say that on May 8, the victim reported that he had been robbed at gunpoint by three suspects while riding in an elevator at the Shady Grove Metro station. Surveillance video showed that at approximately 5:25 p.m., the victim and three suspects, now identified as Graves, Hurey, and Dawkins, entered an elevator at the Shady Grove station. Hurey retrieved a silver handgun from Grave’s backpack and pointed it at the victim. Graves then removed property from the victim and Dawkins removed the victim’s wallet. Graves, Hurey, and Dawkins exited the elevator, and the victim called police.</p>
<p>On June 22, detectives released surveillance video and photographs of the unidentified robbery suspects, and asked for the public’s help in identifying them. Detectives received a Crime Solvers tip and were able to identify Graves, Hurley, and Dawkins as the suspects involved in this armed robbery.</p>
<p>Graves, Hurey, and Dawkins were each charged with one count of armed robbery and one count of conspiracy to commit armed robbery. Graves is being held on a $250,000 bond, Hurey is being held on a $75,000 bond, and Dawkins is being held on a $250,000 bond.</p>
<p>This armed robbery was solved with the assistance of a Crime Solvers tip. <p>Dawkins is represented by a public defender, a lawyer who actually never defends the public from criminals, but instead defends those charged with crimes committed against the public. The States Attorney in each Maryland county is charged with defending the public by allegedly tossing criminals behind bars.</p>
<p>Dawkins was charged by Prince George’s County Officer Johnson on attempted first degree murder charges in Prince George’s County on July 8, 2015 and the charges were dropped by Prince George’s States Attorney Angela Alsobrooks on July 31, 2015, which may mean that an indictment is working its way thorough the Grand Jury process or perhaps that Dawkins rolled over on one of his alleged criminal buddies. Another Public Defender, paid for by taxpayers, worked out this cozy plea deal for these charges which included having a handgun and the use of a gun in a violent crime.</p>
<p>Dawkins was busted for disorderly conduct, failing to obey and lawful order and resisting and interfering with an arrest on June 5, 2015 in Prince George’s County. The charges were all dropped by States Attorney Alsobrooks on Sept. 14, 2015.</p>
