<h1>Motorcyclist who hit and killed Baltimore Firefighter and Self, Sported a Lead Foot in Past Traffic Cases</h1>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">LAUREL, MD. &#8212; Maryland driving records show that one of two motorcyclists who both died in a head-on wreck on Laurel-Bowie Road had early been found guilty of doing 30 miles over the limit three times in the past year.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">The Prince George&#8217;s County Police Department&#8217;s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating the cause of a collision that killed two motorcyclists this morning in Laurel. The victims are 23-year-old Fahad Iqbal of 11508 Basswood Court in Laurel and 63-year-old Hubert Earl Harrison Jr., of Quillpoint Drive in Bowie. Harrison is a Lieutenant with the Baltimore County Fire Department and was on his way home from work.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">On August 23, 2015, at about 4:35 am, patrol officers were called to the 11500 block of Laurel Bowie Road for the report of a collision involving two motorcycles. The preliminary investigation reveals Iqbal was heading northbound on Laurel Bowie Road on a slight curve, when for an unknown reason, he crossed the center line and struck Harrison head on. Both victims were pronounced dead on the scene.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Court records show that Iqbal was found guilty on April 16, 2015 in Frederick County District Court of exceeding the speed limit when he was ticketed for doing 84 miles an hour in a 55 m.p.h. zone. He was fined $60 after being ticketed by Frederick County Deputy Sheriff A. Ruopoli on March 4, 2015 at 7:57 am. A motorcyclist operating in such a speed on a route heavily used by commuters could easily be characterized as the operator of a “crotch rocket” that often are seen dodging vehicles as they cut back and forth through traffic, driving on the shoulder and otherwise breaking many traffic laws.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">On Jan. 23, 2015, Maryland State Trooper First Class N. Farioli stopped Igbal while he was northbound on U. S. 15 at Rt. 76 as was zooming down the road at a cool 78 mph in a 55 mph zone. In Frederick County District Court on Feb. 23, 2015 he was fined $160.</span></p>
