Arrest of Damier Harmon made in Walker Wood Murder
DOVER, DEL. The Dover Police Department reports that it has arrested two men in connection with the Walker Woods homicide that occurred on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at 8:54 pm. Damier Harmon, 18, and Bruce Manlove, 19, were arrested in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania by the Philadelphia Police Department for charges of 1st Degree Robbery relating to the incident.
Once arrested, Dover Police detectives obtained further evidence leading to Harmon being charged with 1st Degree Murder for the Walker Woods slaying. Both suspects are currently being held in Pennsylvania awaiting extradition to Delaware, according to police spokesman Cpl. Mark Hoffman.
Damier Harmon faces the following charges upon extradition:
-1st Degree Murder
-1st Degree Robbery
-Possession of Deadly Weapon During Commission of a Felony
-Possession of Firearm by Person Prohibited
-Possession of Ammunition by Person Prohibited
-Conspiracy 2nd Degree
Bruce Manlove faces the following charges upon extradition:
-1st Degree Robbery
-Possession of a Deadly Weapon During Commission of a Felony
-Conspiracy 2nd Degree
The Dover Police Department reported earlier of the homicide of a 19-year-old Smyrna man that occurred on Harmony Lane, in the Walker Woods development. The Dover Police Department received a call reporting a sound of a gunshot and a male subject seen lying on the ground near the rear of the development. Police arrived on scene and discovered 19-year-old Gary Adams had suffered a single gunshot wound and immediately began first aid efforts. Adams was transported to the Bayhealth Kent General Hospital where he later died as a result of the injuries he suffered. It was learned during the investigation that Adams was enrolled at Smyrna High School.
This is the fourth homicide in Dover in the 2015 calendar year putting it far behind Wilmington and really far behind Baltimore which now has 100, most all of which are blacks killed by blacks.
