Police say that officers from the Eastern District responded to the single vehicle motor vehicle crash on Shore Acres Road near Four Acres Court in Arnold.

The investigation determined that a silver, four door Mercedes sedan was traveling northbound on Shore Acres Road when it left the roadway, struck and severed a utility pole and ultimately overturned. The driver was taken by helicopter to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore with life threatening injuries. The preliminary cause of the collision appears to be the driver’s failure to remain in a single lane likely due to excessive speed. The Traffic Safety section will be handling the investigation.

Tyler was ticketed by a Maryland Transportation Police Officer M. Galliher on Nov. 1, 2014 for zooming along on U. S. 50 at Exit 28 at 84 mph in a 55 mph zone while operating a 2003 BMW. On Nov. 21, 2014, he was found guilty and fined $160 in Anne Arundel County District Court.

Tyler was ticketed on Sept. 30, 2014 by Anne Arundel Police Officer M. Richardson for failure to drive on the right side of the road while driving a 2003 Cadillac and on Nov. 21, 2014 he pleaded guilty and was fined $90.

Tyler was cited on Jan. 12, 2014, by Maryland State Trooper Henry with careening down I-97 at a cool 90 mph in a 2003 BMW. The speed limit on that highway is 65 mph. On May 27, 2014 he entered a guilty plea in District Court in Anne Arundel County and was fined $207.50.

Arrested by Anne Arundel County Police Officer J. M. Shapiro on April 28, 2014 for possession with intent to distribute narcotics other than marijuana, Tyler, of 1802 Whiton Ct. in Annapolis has requested a jury trial in Anne Arundel County Circuit Court.
