Delaware State Police seek ‘Little-Red Robbing Hoodie’ for knocking over Pizza Hut

New Castle, Del. – Delaware State Police are currently investigating the attempted armed robbery of a local pizza restaurant which occurred yesterday evening in New Castle.

The initial investigation has determined that the incident occurred on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at approximately 8:20 p.m., as a male suspect entered the Pizza Hut located at 1508 Beaver Brook Plaza, New Castle. The suspect, who was armed with an unknown make and model handgun, confronted a 19 year old male employee of the restaurant and demanded money. The employee, as well as two other employees who were working at the time- a 23 year old male and an 18 year old female- all fled from the restaurant. The suspect then fled as well, without obtaining any money. There were no injuries.

Delaware Police BeatThe suspect is described as a black male. He was 6’01”-6’02” tall and was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and had a mask covering his face. There is no further physical or clothing description available. No video surveillance photos are available at this time.

Rehoboth, Del. – Delaware State Police report that they are currently investigating the attempted armed robbery of a Rehoboth area Pizza Hut Restaurant that occurred on Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at 11:00 p.m., as a 33 year old female employee of the Pizza Hut, located at 19068 Coastal Highway, Rehoboth Beach, was preparing to close the restaurant.

The employee was then confronted by a male suspect, which was armed with an unknown make and model handgun. The suspect demanded money from the restaurant’s safe. The employee did not comply with the suspect’s demands. The suspect then fled from the business without obtaining any cash, in an unknown direction. The employee was not injured.

The suspect was described as a black male, 20-30 years of age.  He was also described as 5’10”- 6’00” tall, and weighed between 160-180 lbs. The suspect was last seen wearing dark clothing and hooded sweatshirt which covered his face.  The suspect was armed with an unknown make and model handgun. There is no further physical clothing description available.
