The Ghost of Orson Welles robbed Sun Trust Bank

The Mad Hatter Gunman of Sun Trust

WALDORF, MD. — A drama queen held up the Sun Trust Bank and he was either decked out for his debut at the National Theater in Washington in the off-Broadway revival of Citizen Kane or he was a toothless cross-dressed transgendered undocumented immigrant who recently underwent cataract surgery looking for a few bucks at the point of a gun.

Charles County Sheriff Troy Berry reports that on February 5, 2014 at 11:20 a.m., officers responded to the SunTrust Bank on Leonardtown Road in Waldorf for the report of a robbery. Investigation showed a lone male entered the bank, displayed a gun and demanded money. The teller complied and the suspect fled to an awaiting vehicle.

The suspect is described as a white male, mid-30’s to early 40’s, 5’-5” to 5’-7”, with an average build. Witnesses said his teeth were discolored and he may be missing several teeth. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a hat, glasses and a wig with a beard. He fled in a charcoal gray, four-door passenger car with tinted windows, possibly a 2011 to 2013 Ford Fusion.
