<p>LEXINGTON PARK, MD. – In the day before Groundhog Day it was <strong><em><strong>‘Beat a Woman Day’</strong></em></strong> in Lexington Park.</p>
<p>On February 1, 2015, Corporal Reppel responded to a residence on Columbus Drive in Lexington Park, for a domestic assault. The victim alleged suspect Garrett Thomas Weaver JR., 24, of Lexington Park, jumped on the top of the victim and struck the victim in the face with his fist.</p>
<p>Police report that Weaver then placed his hands around the victim’s throat and attempted to strangle the victim. Corporal Reppel observed fresh evidence of injury on the victim’s face. Weaver was placed under arrest and was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with 2nd Degree Assault.</p>

<p>COMPTON, MD. – Anything is possible in the wilds of Compton. St. Mary’s Sheriff Tim Cameron reports that an alleged assault with a beer can to the forehead of a victim brought about the arrest of Carl Lee Williams, 42, of Leonardtown.</p>

<p>According to the Sheriff, on January 31, 2015, DFC Flerlage responded to a residence on Zack’s Way in Leonardtown, for a domestic assault. DFC Flerlage observed injuries on the victim. Information developed during the investigation revealed that Williams threw a beer can at the victim, striking the victim in the forehead. Williams was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with 2nd Degree Assault.</p>
<h1>Cigarettes Not Free at Carefree Lane</h1>
<p>LEXINGTON PARK, MD. – A burglary victim had noted a lurking figure near his home before leaving to run an errand and upon his return, found that his home had been burglarized. After that, the jig was up for the alleged burglar.</p>
<p>On January 31, 2015, Deputy D. Smith responded to a residence located on Carefree Way in Lexington Park, for a reported burglary. The victim indicated his home was burglarized while he and his girlfriend left for a short period of time.</p>
<p>The victim reported he saw suspect Robert Jacob Eberle JR., age 26, of Colonial Beach, Virginia, near his home when they left. When the victim returned he found the back door had been entered and Eberle was no longer in the area. Cigarettes were missing from the victim’s home. Additional deputies located Eberle and the stolen cigarettes were in his possession.</p>
<p>Eberle was placed under arrest. Also found on Eberle at the time of his arrest were a pipe, syringe, and spoon used to consume controlled dangerous substances. Eberle also had a warrant for his arrest on the charges of Reckless Endangerment and Property Destruction Over $1,000. He was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and charged with 1st Degree Burglary, 4th Degree Burglary, and Possession Paraphernalia.</p>
