MURDER USA: Jawaun Anthony Nelson charged with shooting Jamal Allen to Death
DISTRICT HEIGHTS, MD. — Jawaun Anthony Nelson is now in the slammer on charges of first degree murder for allegedly popping a few shots from a gun into the head of Jamal Allen on January 11, 2015.
The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit reports that they arrested Nelson in connection with the murder of 20-year-old Jamal Allen of Suitland.
Nelson, 19, is a resident of 6100 block of Hil-Mar Drive in District Heights.
On January 11, 2015, at about 5:35 pm, patrol officers were called to the 2700 block of Sweetwater Court for the report of a shooting. When they arrived, they found Allen inside a car suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene. Detectives do not believe this was a random act.
Nelson was arrested last night in the District. He’s currently in custody in DC awaiting extradition to Prince George’s County. He is charged with first degree murder.
