Two charged in Baltimore murder

BALTIMORE, MD. — Baltimore Police Department reports the arrests of Tamara Harvey, 37, and 17-year-old Cameron Barnes for the Jan. 3, 2015 murder of 40-year-old Josphat Kobia at 524 Queensgate Rd. Kobia was shot in the head.

The Murder of Stefon Powell

COLLEGE PARK, MD. —- The Prince Georges County Police scoured the College Park neighborhood where a man was shot dead in a parking garage.

On January 1, 2015, patrol officers were called to the 9600 block of Milestone Way for the report of a shooting. When they arrived, they found 22-year-old Stefon Darnnell Powell in a parking garage suffering from gunshot wounds.

A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered in this case. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS.

Powell was a resident of 1871 Tanow Place in District Heights. He was charged with possession of marijuana on Jan. 2, 2012 and the case was put on the Stet Docket on Aug. 9, 2012.

On May 1, 2013, Powell was charged with possession of marijuana and the charge was dropped by Prince Georges County States Attorney Angela Alsobrooks.

On Aug. 13, 2013, Powell was charged with possession of pot and on Jan. 9, 2014, he made a plea deal with the Prince Georges County prosecutors and the charge was put on the Stet Docket with no fine, no time.
