Minor injuries in Aquasco crash resulted in fatality of King George resident

News with an ImpactThe Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal collision in Aquasco.  The victim is identified as 32-year-old Shane Beale of Lazy Lane in King George Virginia.

On December 30, 2014, at about 6:30 am, patrol officers were called to the intersection of Aquasco Road and Horsehead Road for the report of a crash involving a car and a pickup truck.
The preliminary investigation reveals the driver of the pickup truck was traveling northbound on Horsehead Road and attempted to make a right turn onto eastbound Aquasco Road.  As the truck attempted to negotiate the turn, it struck the car driven by Beale, which was also traveling eastbound on Aquasco Road.
Both drivers were taken to a hospital for injuries believed to be non-life threatening at the time. Beale succumbed to his injuries on December 31, 2014.
