<h3 class="posts_title"><span style="color: #020203;">Update: Suspect Charged with Additional Counts of Sex Offenses</span></h3>

<p>In October 2014 detectives from the Montgomery County Police, Special Victims Investigation Division began investigating allegations of a sex offense to a student at<strong> Roberto Clemente Middle School.</strong> On October 17, 2014, <strong>Jose Pineda</strong>, a substitute teacher for Montgomery County Public Schools was charged with one count of Third Degree Sex Offense. Since that arrest three more victims have come forward with similar allegations.</p>
<p>On November 21, 2014 detectives charged Jose Pineda with three additional counts of Third Degree Sex Offense and three counts of Sexual Abuse of a Minor. Two of the victims were students at<strong> Ridgeview Middle School</strong> and one was a victim student at Forest Oak Middle School. At the times of the alleged sex offenses the students were in either the 6th or 7th grade.</p>
<p>The two incidents at Ridgeview Middle School occurred during the end of the 2013-2014 school year. Pineda allegedly inappropriately touched two female students on two different occasions during the school day while acting as a substitute teacher.</p>
<p>The incident at Forest Oak Middle School occurred in 2004. Again, Mr. Pineda allegedly touched a female student inappropriately during the school day while acting as a substitute teacher.</p>
<p>Jose Pineda is currently being held on $150,000 bond at the Montgomery County Detention Center with a bond review scheduled for Monday, November 24, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Rockville District Court.</p>
