<p><strong><em>Robbery proceeds for Pierre Ramone Washington amounted to $2,310 per year that he profited from boosting banks for each year he will serve in the big house</em></strong></p>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">Bank robber found Capital One so nice he robbed it twice!</h3>
<p>GREENBELT, MD—Chief U.S. District Judge Deborah K. Chasanow sentenced Pierre Ramone Washington, age 29, of Temple Hills, Maryland today to six years in prison followed by three years of supervised release for bank robbery. Chief Judge Chasanow also ordered Washington to pay restitution of $13,861.</p>
<p>The sentence was announced by United States Attorney for the District of Maryland Rod J. Rosenstein; Special Agent in Charge Stephen E. Vogt of the Federal Bureau of Investigation; Anne Arundel County Police Chief Kevin Davis; Chief J. Thomas Manger of the Montgomery County Police Department; Chief Mark A. Magaw of the Prince George’s County Police Department; Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney Anne Colt Leitess; Montgomery County State’s Attorney John McCarthy; and Prince George’s County State’s Attorney Angela D. Alsobrooks.</p>
<p>According to his plea agreement, between May 22 and September 26, 2013,<strong><em> Washington committed five bank robberies.</em></strong> In each case, Washington entered the bank and presented the teller with a note demanding money. Washington stole a total of $13,861.</p>
<p>Specifically, Washington robbed: the <strong>Capital One Bank</strong> in the 11000 block of New Hampshire Avenue in Silver Spring, Maryland, on May 22nd, stealing $3,109; the <strong>TD Bank</strong> in the 700 block of Crane Highway in Glen Burnie Maryland on June 27th, stealing $1,694; the <strong>Capital One Bank</strong> in the 21000 block of Frederick Road in Germantown, Maryland, on July 24th, stealing $5,700; the Bank of Glen Burnie in the 1200 block of Generals Highway in Crownsville, Maryland, on September 17th, stealing $2,298; and the <strong>SunTrust Bank</strong> in the 4600 block of Old Branch Avenue in Temple Hills, Maryland, on September 26th, stealing $430.</p>
<p>United States Attorney Rod J. Rosenstein praised the FBI, Anne Arundel County Police Department, Montgomery County Police Department, Prince George’s County Police Department, and the Anne Arundel, Montgomery and Prince George’s County State’s Attorneys’ Offices for their work in the investigation and prosecution. Mr. Rosenstein thanked Assistant U.S. Attorneys Nicolas A. Mitchell and Deborah A. Johnston, who prosecuted the case.</p>

<p>Detectives from the Montgomery County Police – Major Crimes Division have arrested a suspect that is responsible for two Capital One bank robberies that occurred on <strong><a href="http://www.mymcpnews.com/2013/05/24/detectives-investigate-bank-robbery-in-white-oak/"><span style="color: #524a4a;">May 22 in Silver Spring</span></a></strong> and on <strong><a href="http://www.mymcpnews.com/2013/07/24/detectives-investigate-bank-robbery-in-germantown/"><span style="color: #524a4a;">July 24 in Germantown</span></a></strong>.</p>
<p>In both of the bank robberies, clear images of the suspect were obtained by detectives and released to media outlets shortly thereafter. Later in the investigation, on August 8, video surveillance of the suspect was also released to media outlets.</p>
<p>On September 25, detectives received an anonymous <strong><a href="http://www.mymcpnews.com/resources/crime-solvers-2/"><span style="color: #524a4a;">Crime Solvers</span></a></strong> tip that provided information about a possible suspect.</p>
<p>With this information, detectives were able to develop <strong>Pierre Ramon Washington, age 28, of the 3400 block of Brinkley Road in Temple Hills, Maryland</strong> as the suspect in both bank robberies. On September 25, an arrest warrant was obtained for Washington, and on September 27, Washington was arrested in Prince George’s County.</p>
<p>Washington was charged with two counts of Robbery and is currently being held on a $20,000 bond.</p>
