The Case of the Frustrated Burglar
DOVER, DEL. (Sep 16, 2014) — A local dirtbag didn’t want to go through the application process to become a member of the Maple Dale Country Club and decided to break-in, say police. The Dover Police Department Criminal Investigations Unit is investigating a burglary at the Maple Dale Country Club that occurred (Sept. 14th) early Sunday morning.
At approximately 4:17 am, an unknown suspect used tools to cut their way through the roof of the Maple Dale Country Club and gain access to the men’s locker room.
Once inside, the suspect attempted to force entry into the pro shop but was unsuccessful. The suspect then damaged the door/door frame to the exit of the men’s locker room, but had set off multiple alarms at this point. The suspect then fled through the roof and in an unknown direction.

Do-Rag Robber: Hasta la Vista Hombres
DOVER, DEL. (Sept. 16, 2014) — Perhaps bored with sticking up convenience stores run by mid-eastern immigrants a local member of the thieving class decided to turn his attention to a Latino food store.
The Dover police Department is investigating a Sunday afternoon robbery of a Spanish Food Mart located on Townsend Blvd.
At approximately 12:54PM, a black male suspect wearing a black t-shirt, blue jeans, and a black do-rag on his head entered the Tienda Latina Spanish Food Mart. The suspect pointed what was described as a silver handgun at the clerk and demanded money. The clerk complied, giving the suspect an undisclosed sum of money. The suspect then fled southbound towards Townsend Boulevard.
