<p><strong>Friendship, Md. (Sept. 9, 2014) Anne Arundel County Police report that a crash of a sedan took the life of Brian Gore, 33, of Delaware Ave. SW, Washington, D.C., and contributing factors in the crash were alcohol use and speed on the part of the operator.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Police say that o</strong>n September 6, 2014, at approximately 19:16 hours, officers from the Traffic Safety Section responded to Friendship Rd near Boyds Turn Rd in Friendship for a report of a single vehicle crash.</p>
<p>The investigation into this crash has revealed that the vehicle, a white 2005 Acura TL four door, was travelling east on Friendship Rd. Just east of the intersection with Boyds Turn Rd., the vehicle travelled off of the right side of the roadway and into the grass. Once in the grass, the driver lost control of the car. The Acura then reentered the roadway and began to spin. The vehicle then travelled across the roadway and off of the left side of the road. The Acura then travelled up an embankment and struck a light support pole and a tree before coming to rest.</p>
<p>Gore was taken to Prince Georges Shock Trauma hospital where he died at 1:00 am on Sept. 7, 2014.</p>
<p>The preliminary cause of this crash appears to be driver error. Excessive speed and alcohol are factors in this crash. The Traffic Safety Section will be completing the investigation.</p>
