LEONARDTOWN, MD. Capt. Daniel Alioto reports the arrest of the person who is alleged to have supplied the deadly drugs used by both the administrator of a deadly dose of heroin and the person who died.
Capt. Alioto said that during the course of an overdose death investigation, Thomas Jay Willingham, 59, of Leonardtown, was found to have distributed “Morphine” to several individuals in the days leading up to the death of John Warren Cleaveland Jr..
“It took us a while to find him as he was evicted from his apartment in Leonardtown, but he’s safely in place at the jail,” said Alioto.
Evidence recovered indicated that suspect Willingham distributed “Morphine” to both John Cleaveland and Lena King in the days leading up to victim Cleveland’s death. He was charged with two counts of “Distribution of Morphine” and originally held without bail.
