Edgewater teen charged in child porno scheme; bank robbed in Odenton; New York man busted in credit card scam

2014&comma; at approximately 11&colon;46 a&period;m&period;&comma; officers from the Western District responded to the<strong> M &amp&semi; T Bank<&sol;strong> located in the 1300 block of Blair Drive in Odenton for a report of a robbery that just occurred&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Upon arrival&comma; officers spoke with the bank employees who reported that the suspect entered the bank&comma; displayed a note demanding money and received an undetermined amount of money before fleeing the bank&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Suspect&colon; Black male in his 20&&num;8217&semi;s&comma; approximately 6&&num;8217&semi;0&&num;8243&semi;&comma; 150 pounds with facial hair&comma; last seen wearing a black hat with a white logo and a gold sticker on the bill&comma; black sunglasses with a gold line on the frame&comma; a long sleeve gray collared shirt and black cargo shorts&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>EDGEWATER&comma; MD&period; &&num;8212&semi; 08&sol;18&sol;2014 &&num;8212&semi; In March of 2014 <strong>The Anne Arundel County Police Department<&sol;strong> received numerous complaints involving sexually explicit photographs of juveniles being posted on Social Networking websites&comma; such as Instagram&period; The images depicted mainly juvenile females posing nude or engaged in sexual activity&period; These images were posted on several different pages on the <strong>Instagram website<&sol;strong> and in each posting a different <strong>Anne Arundel County High School<&sol;strong> was referenced&period;  Detectives were able to identify several of the juveniles in the pictures and learned a lot of the photographs had been taken either by themselves &lpar;aka&colon;”selfies”&rpar; or consensually by another person&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The <strong>Anne Arundel County Child Abuse Unit detectives<&sol;strong> worked on the case month after month following leads and conducting interviews&period;  In doing so&comma; detectives were able to secure several search warrants where extensive searches were conducted involving the social media sites&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>In doing so&comma; detectives determined where the images had been uploaded to the different internet websites&sol;social media outlets&period; A search warrant was executed at the suspect’s address where evidence was obtained linking a seventeen-year-old male high school student to the crime&period;  During an interview with the male student he admitted to uploading images sent to him by other students on the internet&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The seventeen year-old male high school student was charged on a juvenile citation with Distribution and Possession of Child Pornography&period; The juvenile was charged in late July&period; The investigation continued into mid-August where no other suspects were identified or charged&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>With the new school year fast approaching&comma; the Anne Arundel County Police would like to urge the public to be aware of these issues and to report occurrences to the Anne Arundel County Police Department&comma; the Instagram’s Help Center at <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;help&period;instagram&period;com&sol;">http&colon;&sol;&sol;help&period;instagram&period;com<&sol;a> or the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children’s Cyber Tip Line at http&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;cybertipline&period;com&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The Anne Arundel County Police Department is also recommending parents speak with their children and explain to them the possible repercussions and dangers of taking photographs of themselves in a sexually explicit manner then posting them on the Internet&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Parents have to explain to their children that it is never acceptable&period; As soon as a parent hands their child a digital device&comma; be it a phone&comma; a tablet or a computer&comma; you should begin the discussion that sending or receiving inappropriate pictures is never okay&comma; nor is sending explicit sexual messages&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Discuss that this is no joke and they may face criminal charges as in this case mentioned above a seventeen year old male high school student&period;  Remind children that once messages get sent they can be seen by anyone and can’t be taken back&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Suspect&colon; Md&period; Anne Arundel County Police report that an Eastern Shore woman was charged with breaking into vehicles in Annapolis&period;  Police say that o<&sol;strong>n August 15&comma; 2014 at approximately 4&colon;00 p&period;m&period; officers responded to the 2000 block of Homewood Rd&period; Annapolis for a person tampering with vehicles&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The victim advised he walked out of his residence and observed a female pulling on the door handle of his vehicle&period;  The vehicle was in the driveway of the residence with the doors locked&period; When the victim observed the female&comma; he yelled at the suspect who fled the area on foot&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Officers arrived and searched the area&period; They located the suspect at <strong>Homewood Road and Baltimore Annapolis Blvd&period;<&sol;strong> After the initial investigation&comma; the suspect was placed under arrest and transported to the Eastern District Station&period;  The suspect was charged with Rogue and Vagabond&comma; Trespassing and attempted Theft under &dollar;1000&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>Suspect&colon;<&sol;strong><strong> Lorraine Elizabeth Bridenstine&comma; MD&period; So much for being a loyal customer to Target &&num;8212&semi;- which might have been on the mind of Orvil Glynn as the cops locked him on charges of running a con scheme with stolen credit cards&period;  Why was he caught&quest;  Police say that a Target loss prevention detective spotted him as being a regular with lots of goofy credit cards and wham &&num;8212&semi; it was all over&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p align&equals;"left">Police report that on August 14&comma; 2014&comma; at approximately 5&colon;00 p&period;m&period;&comma; officers from the Northern District responded to the Target store located at <strong>6717 Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie<&sol;strong> for a theft suspect who returned to the store&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>This same suspect was in the store on previous occasions when he purchased nearly &dollar;17&comma;000 worth of gift cards using possibly over 100 suspected cloned credit cards&period; The Loss Prevention Officer immediately recognized the suspect when he returned to the store and called police&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Northern patrol officers and district detectives responded to the Target store and detained the suspect&period; He possessed two fraudulent credit cards and had just used them in order to purchase several more Target gift cards&period; The suspect was placed under arrest and charged with several financial crimes&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>At this time&comma; the police department has reason to believe there are many more unidentified victims who have recently had their credit card accounts fraudulently used by this suspect&period; He has also possibly committed similar crimes at the Target store located at 7951 Nolpark Court in Glen Burnie&period;
