officers responded to the 100 block of Post Office Road in Waldorf for an intrusion alarm&period; When officers arrived&comma; they found two open doors and an open window&period; Cpl&period; L&period; Blake and his K-9 partner entered the business but no one was inside&period; The owner of the business responded and said it did not appear anything had been stolen&period; Officers believe the suspects fled when the alarm sounded&period; POI C&period; Caywood is investigating&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>ROBBERY REPORTED&colon;<&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>WALDORF&comma; MD&period; &&num;8212&semi; On August 10 at 9&colon;30 p&period;m&period;&comma; officers responded to the 6300 block of Deerwood Court in Waldorf for the report of a robbery that occurred earlier in the evening&period; According to the four teenaged victims&comma; they were sitting in a fenced- in backyard of a house when two suspects wearing ski masks approached&comma; displayed a gun and demanded money&period; The victims complied and the suspects fled&period; The victims did not immediately report the incident&period; PFC&period; A&period; Fenlon is investigating&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>STRONG-ARM ROBBERY&colon;<&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>On August 10 at 1&colon;38 a&period;m&period;&comma; officers responded to the 2200 block of Old Washington Road in Waldorf for the report of a fight in progress&period; When officers arrived&comma; a man reported a group of males assaulted him and took his cell phone and cash&period; MD&period; &&num;8212&semi; On Aug&period; 9 at 10&colon;06 p&period;m&period;&comma; officers responded to the Bryantown Store at 6435 Leonardtown Road in Bryantown for the report of a robbery that just occurred&period; Investigation showed the suspect entered the business&comma; brandished a gun and demanded money&period; The victim complied and the suspect fled&period; Cpl&period; C&period; Roberts and his K-9 partner tracked the suspect to Oliver Shop Road where the track stopped about a half mile away&period; The suspect is a male&comma; unknown race&comma; early to mid-twenties&comma; about 5’9″ with a medium build&period; He was wearing all black clothing to include a black shroud that concealed his entire head&period; PFC J&period;L&period; Clagett is investigating&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<h3><strong>Were St&period; Mary&&num;8217&semi;s Sheriff&&num;8217&semi;s deputies practicing firing their weapons again&quest; <&sol;strong><&sol;h3>&NewLine;<p>WALDORF&comma; MD&period; &&num;8212&semi;- After a February incident in St&period; Mary&&num;8217&semi;s County where gunfire penetrated homes in the Wildewood neighborhood&comma; with one bullet blasting into a wall just feet from an infant&comma; police began searching for the source of the gunfire&period;  They soon learned that their own officers were responsible for the shots that hit several homes&comma; coming from a nearby farm where St&period; Mary&&num;8217&semi;s Sheriff&&num;8217&semi;s deputies were firing automatic weapons as part of a training exercise&period;   St&period; Mary&&num;8217&semi;s Sheriff Tim Cameron said that he was &&num;8220&semi;mortified&&num;8221&semi; at the incident but has yet to release the names of those responsible or any discipline taken against them&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>On August 10 at 1&colon;25 a&period;m&period; officers responded to the 1000 block of Dorset Road in Waldorf for the report of the sound of gunshots&period; When officers arrived&comma; they spoke with the homeowner who indicated she heard the sound of glass breaking in her living room and discovered a large hole and shattered glass by the patio door&period; She then noticed small holes in the living room wall&period; Officers canvassed the yard and found a projectile nearby&period; Further investigation revealed additional evidence on Cambridge Drive which is located behind the victim’s residence&period; MD&period; &&num;8212&semi; On August 8 at 8&colon;34 a&period;m&period;&comma; officers responded to the 4200 block of Drake Court in Waldorf for the report of a burglary of a vacant house&period; Investigation showed a juvenile male&comma; who was reported as a runaway&comma; broke a window and gained entry inside the house&period; The juvenile was charged with breaking and entering and then released to a relative&period; Officer K&period; Selkirk investigated&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<h3><strong>Victim of thieves who stole his electronics from his car tracked them down with his iPad so cops could nab them<&sol;strong><&sol;h3>&NewLine;<p>WALDORF&comma; MD&period; &&num;8212&semi; According to Charles County Sheriff Rex Coffey&comma; on August 7 at 6&colon;21 a&period;m&period;&comma; officers responded to the 11300 block of Teakwood Court in Waldorf for the report of a theft from auto&period; The victim indicated his iPad and a digital camera were stolen from his unlocked car&period; While taking the report&comma; officers were made aware of two other thefts from nearby cars&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>One of the victims was able to track his iPad to Gallinule Court where PFC E&period; Baker and PFC M&period; Kelly responded&period; They canvassed the area and located a book bag containing a GPS&comma; a purse&comma; a pair of tennis shoes and other miscellaneous items – none which had been reported stolen at that time&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The victim continued tracking his iPad and told officers the tracking device indicated the iPad had moved to Shawnee Lane&period; Cpl&period; K&period; Selkirk responded to Shawnee Lane and observed two males standing near the woods&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Upon being seen&comma; the suspects fled into the woods&period; Cpl&period; Selkirk broadcast a description of the suspects and provided their route of travel&period; PFC Kelly drove to Shearwater Lane where he suspected the subjects would come out&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Within a short time&comma; PFC Kelly noticed the suspects run out of the woods&period; He pursued the subjects and apprehended Steven Lawrence Matthews Jr&period;&comma; 21&comma; of Waldorf&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Cpl&period; Selkirk went to the area where she first spotted the subjects and recovered property which had been stolen from the three reported thefts&period; Matthews was arrested and charged with theft&period; The investigation is continuing&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>ARMED ROBBERY&colon;<&sol;strong> On August 6&comma; officers responded to Promenade Place in Waldorf for the report of an armed robbery&period; Sometime between 12&colon;15 a&period;m&period; and 12&colon;47 a&period;m&period;&comma; the victims said they were outside talking when two male suspects wearing masks approached them and brandished what appeared to be a gun&period; The suspects stole a cell phone&comma; wallet&comma; hat&comma; car keys and a shirt before they fled the scene on foot in the direction of Dorchester Circle&period; PFC D&period; Butler is investigating&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>THEFT&colon;<&sol;strong> On August 6 at 8&colon;40 a&period;m&period;&comma; officers responded to the Residence Inn in the 3000 block of Technology Place in Waldorf for the report of theft&period; Upon arrival&comma; officers learned that sometime between 8&colon;30 p&period;m&period; on August 5 and 8&colon;30 a&period;m&period; on August 6&comma; unknown suspects broke into a vehicle and stole &dollar;6&comma;000&period;00 worth of camera equipment and some other items totaling &dollar;300&period;00&period; The suspects also damaged the window frame of the car&period; Officer M&period; Cassarubias is investigating&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>ROBBERY<&sol;strong>&colon; On August 5 at 6&colon;49 a&period;m&period;&comma; officers were patrolling the Bryans Road area when they were stopped by a citizen for the report an assault&period; The victim said he got off the VanGo bus around 10&colon;00 p&period;m&period; on August 4 and was walking through the park when he was approached by four black males who assaulted him&period; The suspects stole his cell phone and wallet&period; The victim sustained minor injuries and was treated on the scene&period; Officer M&period; Cassarubias is investigating&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>THEFT&colon;<&sol;strong> On August 3&comma; officers responded to La Plata Road in La Plata for the report of a theft&period; Sometime between 2&colon;00 a&period;m&period; and 7&colon;00 a&period;m&period;&comma; an unknown suspect entered the victim’s garage through an unlocked window&period; Once inside&comma; the suspect stole three motorcycles and other riding equipment&period; The motorcycles are described as one red Honda CRF150F5&comma; one red Honda XR250R with a number five sticker on the front and one green Kawasaki KLX125A3&period; The suspect also stole a black Diamondback mountain bike&period; Officer E&period; Gass is investigating&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>DRUG ARREST&colon;<&sol;strong> Police report that on August 1 at 1&colon;30 p&period;m&period;&comma; PFC R&period; Kimble conducted a traffic stop on Rock Point Road in Newburg&period; Upon approaching the vehicle&comma; the officer witnessed the passenger throw a bag out of the vehicle&period; Officer Kimble detained both occupants and located the bag&period; The bag contained crack cocaine and marijuana&period; A search of both occupants of the vehicle was conducted and additional drugs were recovered&period; Randall Lee Loyd&comma; 52&comma; of Marion&comma; Indiana was arrested and charged with possession of narcotics&comma; possession of crack cocaine and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia&period; Barry Conrad Cooper&comma; 45&comma; of Newburg was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute narcotics&comma; distribution of narcotics&comma; possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>DRUG ARREST&colon;<&sol;strong> Police say that on August 1 at 2&colon;02 a&period;m&period;&comma; Officer S&period; Hooper was patrolling the parking lot of the Super 8 Motel in the 3500 block of Crain Highway in Waldorf when he observed a suspicious vehicle&period; After approaching the vehicle&comma; the officer observed marijuana in plain view&period; A search of the vehicle revealed crack cocaine and cash&period; The estimated street value of the cocaine was &dollar;2&comma;000&period;00&period; James Thomas Neal&comma; 23&comma; of Waldorf was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine&comma; possession of marijuana and several other charges&period; Ravon Deyon Burnside&comma; 20&comma; of Lexington Park&comma; was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine and possession of marijuana&period; Officer Hooper investigated&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>ATTEMPTED MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT&colon;<&sol;strong> On August 1&comma; officers responded to Bellwood Drive in Pomfret for the report of an attempted motor vehicle theft&period; Sometime between 9&colon;00 p&period;m&period; on July 31 and 7&colon;00 a&period;m&period; on August 1&comma; an unknown suspect broke into a vehicle and got it started&period; After investigation&comma; it appeared the suspect tried to back out of the driveway but hit a tree and then left the vehicle at the residence&period; PFC J&period; Foster is investigating&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>THEFT&colon;<&sol;strong> Sometime between 9&colon;00 a&period;m&period; and 2&colon;00 p&period;m&period; on July 30&comma; 400 pounds of used copper wire was stolen from a residence located in the 4000 block of Doncaster Drive in Indian Head&period; Cpl&period; R&period; Cadrette is investigating&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>BURGLARY&colon;<&sol;strong> Sometime between 6&colon;00 a&period;m&period; and 3&colon;45 p&period;m&period; on July 30&comma; unknown suspects gained entry into a residence on Cheryl Turn in Waldorf&period; Once inside&comma; the suspects stole four flat screen televisions&comma; purses&comma; cash&comma; a gun and ammunition&period; The suspects also flattened the tires of vehicles parked in the victim’s garage&period; PFC C&period; Barrows is investigating&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>RECOVERED PROPERTY&colon;<&sol;strong> On July 30 around 5&colon;00 p&period;m&period;&comma; Officer J&period; Campbell responded to the 8200 block of Marshall Corner Road in Pomfret for the report of recovered property&period; A resident found a black laptop computer&comma; Hewlett-Packard Mini 311&comma; in the grass of his residence near the roadway&period; Officer J&period; Campbell is investigating&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>ROBBERY SUSPECTS ARRESTED&colon;<&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>WALDORF&comma; MD&period; &&num;8212&semi; According to Charles County Sheriff Rex Coffey on July 12 and July 14&comma; two separate victims were assaulted and robbed in the 100 block of St&period; Patrick’s Drive in Waldorf&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The suspects were identified as Delanta Maurice Coates&comma; 27&comma; of Waldorf and Mark Joseph Wallace&comma; 28&comma; of Waldorf&period; Warrants were issued for both suspects&period; On July 31&comma; officers from the Warrant Unit located and arrested the suspects&period; Coates was charged with first-and second-degree assault&comma; robbery and theft under &dollar;100&period;00&period; Wallace was charged with first and second-degree assault&comma; robbery&comma; theft under &dollar;100&period;00 and theft under &dollar;1&comma;000&period;00&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
